Our family spent the week here as we visited Calgary and Banff. The location was perfect for being able to easily get onto the freeway and start our adventures for the day. The area also felt very safe and we didn’t have to worry about our vehicle or anything like that. Staff was all friendly and helpful. I’m a guest at the hotel which this restaurant is associated with and provides room service for. The restaurant is located in the lobby of the hotel. After a long day of travel I just needed a plate and fork to eat some leftovers I had. I asked the hotel front desk who directed me to the restaurant. The hostess told me their policy is not to lend hotel guests plates. Seriously?!?! But you would deliver room service to my room? Do you not use plates when you deliver room...
Freeport is a very pleasant and quiet restaurant hotel. There is ample seating, the staff are attentive and friendly, music is relaxing, plenty of drinks on tap or in the bottle, and the menu has ample food choices.
There is a daily special everyday, as well as happy hour specials between 4-7pm everyday. I tried the 5.00 craft house lager, and it was quite good.
