A lot of board games, you can order food (never had food at this place) and drinks. A really cool place, but you'll need a company.

First time here playing board games with a group of friends. My only complaint was the price. Drinks and cost of playing a bit high.

Carrot cake was good. The espresso to milk ratio was too low in my cappuccino. It ended up tasting too milky and sweet. I might ask them to make it differently next time.I really hope to be able to come back and play some games at some point.

This board game cafe is super welcoming and super adorable. All of the staff were great and everything was so nicely organized. We stoped by to play a new version of Ticket to Ride, then ended up getting many new game ideas from the huge collection to choose from! Their coffee and hot chocolate is also delicious, along with their pastries, so definitely try some!

Very fun board game cafe with a decent selection, however would be nice if they had more options of card games. Drinks were decent, and well mixed but not particularly remarkable, and the same could be said for the coffee, and food; good but not particularly of note. Also the atmosphere is very nice with good design however it really the luck of the draw with seating, some tables are spacious whereas other booths feel somewhat cramped. It can also get quite loud and difficult to hear and interact with companions, though I don't think the establishment is at fault for this, just a sign of their popularity!

Hexagon is always a fun place to hang out. We played a verity of games and had a few beers and lattes. Prices are awesome and you can lose track of time while indulging in so many board games.

Edit: Unfortunately it’s come to the point where my previous review (shown at the end) had to be changed as it doesn’t reflect my opinions of the place anymore.Sadly the café has become extremely expensive now compared to before with the quality of food and drinks staying the same - or worse - but now at even more exorbitant prices - $7 for a mediocre mocha (when I know it was ‘only’ $6 half a year ago), $9 for a snack bowl of chocolate almonds, and $13 for a pre-made - not sure when - warmed up extremely depressing panini (the only actual meal option they have).Considering you are required to purchase a menu item (with the cheapest option being a $3 cup of regular coffee) along with paying the raised price of $4.50/hour (when I first started going it was a much more reasonable $2.50/hour)…it’s just ridiculous.Since I have seen absolutely no change at all to improving the accessibility to the café to those wheelchair bound/unable to climb stairs (like come on - how do you think that is acceptable?!), the quality and comfort of the seating areas for the customers, the staff wages (minimum forever), and very few board game updates, I believe disappointingly that the owners are really just in it now for the money and don’t care at all about their customers or the business (at least the one in Calgary). This longtime devoted customer is sadly finally moving on to newer - more reasonable places.Previous comment (which gave them 5 stars):Awesome place to spend an afternoon or evening any day! Wide range of boardgames in almost every category you can think! Knowledgeable and friendly staff and okay selection of food and drinks!

As far as boardgame cafes go, very fun! They had a great selection and some I have never heard of. A decent selection of games for big and small groups. Just a heads up, there is a minimum spending amount expected for each person. So you can't just pay for the games and get water. They require you to spend money on drinks and food. The staff are great and will walk you through a game if you need. Very helpful.Wheelchair accessibility: It is not accessible at all. Look for a different place if you or someone who wants to go in incapable of going up stairs.

We had a good time playing games and we really liked the idea of having the board games in the coffee shop. But we were disappointed by the $4.5/person/hour charge for being there. We were a group of 6 and all of us got at least 2 drinks and some food...just felt unnecessary to be charged an additional $81 on top. We've been to similar places in the US and there was no charge...it was the way to bring people in. Felt like going to a sports bar and paying extra for the time spent to pay for their cable...
