Lac Duyen Chay is a new Vietnamese restaurant that specializes in vegetarian and vegan dishes. The owner, Denise, is known for her kindness and for creating a welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant offers a variety of options, including five types of hot noodle soups and two types of banh mi. One popular dish is the Hu Tieu, which is described as "out of this world." Prices are reasonable, and customers can bring their own pots for takeout. The restaurant is currently takeout only, but a standing eating bar is in the works. Located on 17th Avenue, Lac Duyen Chay is a hidden gem that caters to the Vietnamese community for vegetarian or "Chay" days and is deserving of patronage.
