Mug Shotz Sports Bar & Grill

I've heard about this bar but never stopped in until I met my friend for Canada Day drinks. Weird location and kinda sketch from the outside but we were amazed by how big it was on the inside. Apparently they are known for their wings and they did not disappoint. Great staff, very friendly bar. Highly recommend.

We had our company social there today, food and service were both amazing. Ally went above and beyond taking care of our group of 20. Wings are a must try, some of the best in Calgary!

Did not have a meal here. Service was great

I am giving 5 stars based on my previous trips here. The wings have always been delicious, crispy, and full of flavor. Not sure why that wasn’t the case during our last visit. We ordered 4 lbs and all of them were soggy and not a lot of flavor like in the past. The lime wedges served with the wings had not a drop of juice. I sure hope this is a temporary situation.

Probably the best restaurant in Calgary for wings . Also my girl friend had other food and she said she enjoyed it as well .. great place to meet up with good friends

STILL THE BEST WINGS IN CALGARY? ABSOLUTELY.🔥🔥🔥

A year ago, I left this place a 4-star review. Today, after another visit, I’m officially upgrading it to a full 5 stars out of 5.

The question is simple:

Is this still the best place for chicken wings in Calgary?

My answer is a very confident YES.

The wings were exactly what I remembered: crispy, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and impossible to stop eating. If you’re a wing lover, this place belongs on your must-visit list.

This time, my friend and I also decided to try their salads. He went with the Chef’s Salad and I had the Caesar Salad. Both were fresh, generous, and surprisingly good. The garlic bread was also excellent and paired perfectly with the meal.

What impressed me the most wasn’t even the food.

It was the cleanliness.

For a busy sports bar that serves this volume of customers, the washrooms were exceptionally clean. And for me, that’s a huge indicator of how a business operates behind the scenes. Clean washrooms usually reflect pride, organization, and attention to detail throughout the entire establishment. Credit where credit is due: the management team clearly cares.

The service was also outstanding. We were welcomed warmly and looked after throughout our visit by two fantastic servers who genuinely made us feel appreciated as customers.

If I have to mention one negative point, it’s the parking situation. Parking is free, which is great, but spaces are limited and street parking can sometimes be challenging depending on when you arrive.

Other than that?

Honestly, this place is getting very close to perfection.

What surprises me most is that this restaurant is not located in one of Calgary’s easiest areas to discover. In my opinion, that’s exactly why local customers should support it even more. Businesses that consistently deliver quality food, great service, and a clean environment deserve recognition.

The best chicken wings in Calgary...Full stop

Went for the chicken wings and was not disappointed! Their house recipe hot wings and salt and pepper were to die for! Great flavour and cooked with just the right amount of crisp. Eden was an awesome server, and we met the owner Charlene who made us feel very welcome. Definitely a place to check out if you're into wings!

This place has the second best wings in Calgary. The wings are big and well sized portions, the choice of flavors is crazy, so many to choose from. The roasted red pepper and garlic, dill pickle and sweet chili heat were delicious. They actually cut up red peppers, onions, garlic, saute them and toss the wings in it, the dill pickle wings are tossed in dill seasoning and cut up dill pickles. The outside looks sketchy but isn't bad. The food is definitely worth the trip.
