Sucre Patisserie & Cafe (Centre Street)

If you’re looking to buy fresh, fluffy cakes that are not-too-sweet, then I highly recommend Sucre!!!!

I ordered a cake for delivery three days before the party, and this bakery exceeded my high expectations in terms of taste, size, and overall quality.

Also, for context, the bunny was ordered separately, and we added it to the middle of the cake.

Came here today as we came across them on social media! Tried the real looking fruit mousse, a pinwheel dessert and 2 drinks.

The (iced) chai latte was great, and the (iced) Vanilla latte was pretty good too! Coffee is definitely not the strong suite here however it pairs well with your snacks you get.

Will absolutely be back and back to try the lunch sandwiches and more! 😄

There is seating if you wanted to stay in! Not much if it though!

The pastries here are amazing — everything is fresh and delicious. But the coffee is made by a machine, and as a barista, that’s terrible to me. A place like this deserves a real barista and a proper espresso machine. So if you just want pastries, definitely stop by, but for coffee, this isn’t the place.

I was looking for a selection of desserts to take to a get together and dropped by Sucre on the way home. I bought: tiramisu, raspberry cheesecake, brioche donut, lemon tart, earl grey shortbread, and chocolate obsession cake. Not a miss amongst them. Delicious! Service was great as well.

Chai latte and a macaroon is my weekly Friday treat after walking my girl to school at CHHS. The macaroons are to die for: delicately flavoured and subtly coloured with perfect tender texture. But there is much more here than just macaroons, and you cannot find a better source for that special dessert or a tray of brunch dainties.

Went here to try the viral fruit pastries seen online and actually was pleasantly surprised with the business as a whole! Amazing baked goods, variety drink menu, kind staff and overall clean and welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place as it will be my new go to bakery place ! The pastries are for sure on the sweeter side but the drinks balance out the sweetness ;)

I usually stop by in the mornings for their delicious flavored croissants. Recently, I’ve noticed they’ve been a bit dry (overcooked or old?). I love a crispy croissant, but the corners have been so dry that they crumble when you bite into them. They still taste great, but the texture hasn’t been as good lately.

I have been here multiple times and I quite enjoy the baking. The only complaints I have are the dishes aren't cleaned well and the crust for the Strawberry Cheesecake is extremely dry and hard. My favourite so far is the Earl Grey macaron. Overall pleasant visits.
