Guy making fried rice, is rude as heck
Tried enquiring about my order to him from 1 feet distance just to get no response. Stone cold stares. This is after placing an order and waiting 15 mins. This experience makes people travelling feel bad. I hope necessary steps are taken to fix this.
Please update your opening hours. It doesn’t open at 8AM
This is not your standard airport Asian fast food joint. The dishes are not stewing under hot lights waiting to be dished out. They are cooked to order. I can only speak for the Pad See Ew I ordered, but it was honestly delicious and unexpected.

I should have read the reviews first. Ordered chicken red curry over rice. The curry, which had very little chicken, only comprised the top 1/5 of the to-go container. Decent taste. However, once past that too later the meal was aa dry as a witches you know what. I couldn't even finish it. DO NOT GO.

Pad See Ew was as expected of Thai Express chain. Counter service was friendly though the guy cooking looked super grumpy.

This place gave me food poisoning. DONT GO
Way better than airport food has any right to be! Plenty of gluten free options for those so afflicted. Vegetarian options too. While eating, my wife and I said if this was a regular restaurant, we would go there.

Sorry to say but the worst Thai food I've had! Tasted like it came out of a can.

Thai Express, D Gates. Got yelled at one of the workers as he didn’t make my food right and I tried to correct him. Older Asian man. Who’s always there. He’s absolutely disgusting and shouldn’t be working there if his attitude is such.
Trash. And I wish I would’ve been more aggressively like he was and made sure to have him make my food correctly!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had such a great experience at Thaii Express in the Calgary Airport (U.S. station). For an airport restaurant, it completely blew me away. The food quality, the speed of service, and the overall flavor left me more than satisfied before catching my flight. I wasn’t expecting much when I stopped by, but this spot easily competes with any Thai restaurant outside the airport.
I ordered the Pad Thai with shrimp and toffee, and it was nothing short of incredible. The dish was extremely spicy—exactly the kind of heat I love—yet it was balanced with rich flavors and a touch of sweetness from the toffee. The shrimp was fresh, plump, and perfectly cooked, while the noodles carried that perfect chewy texture. Every bite was a mix of spice, savoriness, and a hint of sweetness that kept me hooked until the very end.
What stood out most was how fresh and vibrant the dish felt, even though it’s served in such a fast-paced setting. So often, airport food feels rushed or bland, but this Pad Thai tasted like it was prepared with care. The portion size was generous, and the balance of flavors—spice, sweet, tangy, and savory—was spot on. Honestly, I would order this again even if I wasn’t traveling.
The service was another highlight. The staff were friendly and incredibly fast. Despite the busy atmosphere of the airport, they managed to take orders, prepare dishes, and serve customers efficiently without compromising quality. I had my meal in my hands within minutes, which is exactly what you need when you’re trying to catch a flight.
The convenience of this location also makes it worth mentioning. Being right in the U.S. station, it’s the perfect spot to grab a quick but flavorful meal before boarding. Instead of settling for something dull, I got a dish packed with bold flavors that left me satisfied and energized for my journey ahead.
Overall, Thaii Express at Calgary Airport is a hidden gem for travelers. Spicy, delicious Pad Thai, quick service, and friendly staff—it’s the kind of spot that makes traveling a little more enjoyable. I’ll definitely make this a regular stop whenever I’m flying through this terminal.

Not flavorful like real Thai but one of the better, reasonably priced food options.

Got the pad thai, good flavours but way too overpowering. Also the tom yum soup has plastic in it! 😡
