Really good experience. The venue itself is special - a historical home from the 1890's in a park setting in the heart of Calgary Beltline. Afternoon tea includes free entrance to the museum within the house. The afternoon tea was well balanced between savory and sweet treats, with a very good variety of different items in each category, and all of good quality. The tea selection was wide and interesting. We had so much fun at the Mother's Day tea! The staff were friendly, accommodating, and helpful, even though it was incredibly busy. They all worked so hard to ensure a great experience and I look forward to the next tea I can attend!
Our experience was disappointing, largely due to the service. Afternoon tea is meant to be an experience, not just a meal, and unfortunately that was completely missed. Our server did not bring or offer milk, nor did she provide a tea timer which is a basic part of proper tea service. Other tables had timers, so it was noticeable. When we asked if our tea was ready, she simply said yes, but didn't seem confident or engaged, which made it feel like she didn't actually know or care....read full review
