“We're always on the hunt for great local coffee shops, and we stumbled upon this one in the SE part of the city. It's 100% vegan and offers a unique milk alternative made in-house - at the time of our visit, it was a sunflower seed and oat blend. The ambiance is relaxed and cozy, with simple furniture and decor. While the service and atmosphere were great, the tea and coffee lattes fell short. Specifically, the milk substitute was too watery, which affected the overall quality of the lattes.“

“My daughter and I dined at 530pm yesterday, May 24th 2025. We chose to sit in the dining room. We were lead to a table by the fireplace under a great chandelier. The ambiance of Joey Crowfoot is lively and warm. Comfortable seating, perfectly sized tables, and excellent lighting. Our server, whose name I can't recall - tall dark and handsome and a theater major - was attentive and friendly. The food we had was absolutely incredible. We chose goyza dumplings to start which were so flavourful and perfectly cooked. My daughter ordered the hamburger and fries and even with her braces bothering her, she demolished. My blackened chicken with warm potato salad was hands down the BEST meal I've had in a restaurant in a long, long time. I will be dreaming of that salad until I can get back there again !!“

“I had dinner tonight at The Himalayan (17 Ave SW). It was my first time here, and only my second Nepalese restaurant I’ve been to. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable and very kind. The restaurant is clean, and intimate. Parking isn’t ideal, but that’s not their fault! I started with the pork momos as an appetizer. They were excellent, but quite expensive ($16 for six regular-sized dumplings). The flavour was great, and they tasted very fresh. For my main, I had Chicken Dal Bhatt, which came with three small dishes of meat and curry and lentils, along with rice, naan and some side dishes. Each of the individual dishes had incredible flavour. They were also hot and fresh, as were the momos. The meal was served on a metal platter, and the small bowls were also metal. It was beautifully presented. As soon as I finished my main meal, the waiter offered me a chai and mango pudding (included in the meal). The chai was aromatic and spicy and earthy and amazing! The mango pudding was icy cold (also in a metal dish), and hit the spot at the end of the meal. For my appetizer and main meal, I opted for mild / zero spice. Everything was so flavourful I don’t regret this decision. However next time, I’ll live a little and try the medium heat. Overall, this was a 10/10 for me and I’m really glad I had the chance to try out this restaurant!!“

“Went for brunch on a Sat afternoon. Will advise to make reservations online to everyone as place is always busy. We had reservations so almost no waiting when we got there. We ordered multiple things. Crispy chicken, brisket bowl, brioche pancakes and pumpkin spice pancakes. Everything was on point amazing (service, food) their hollandaise sauce is absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend this place to everyone“

“Service was wonderful, the hostess was kind and informative. The waitress we had was very attentive but not hovering. We sat outside and the seating was very nice. I feel like they could have stronger chairs, however. But they were fine. The food was delicious, the only downside was the egg benedict was overcooked. They ask how you want it and both myself and my friend said medium and they came out hard. Not a deal breaker but kinda look forward to a runnier texture. All in all, the flavors were great and everyone enjoyed their meals. Also got in last minute which was convenient for how busy they were inside and outside.“

The event was flawlessly organized and orchestrated by the Hy's team, the food was next level even by Hy's standards and the service exceeded anything we have experienced anywhere in North America even in the finest hotels. Bryant Olender added a classic background with piano and vocal stylings that perfectly suited the atmosphere. “My wife and I decided to have pizza on Friday Oct 15. We went to our favorite pub that makes very good Pizza but we found it to busy so we decided to order take out. We had a Bow Tie Pizza (Sage Hill) menu that we decided to try. We placed our order at 5:20 PM and were told the Pizza would be ready by 6:00 PM. I showed up at 6:05 PM to pick it up. The young gal at the counter told me our order had been missed and said it would be another 20 minutes and the Pizza would be on the house no charge. I told her I would wait the 20 minutes but wanted to pay for it. She insisted that it was on the house and to call her when we were in the parking lot and she would bring it to our Vehicle. So 20 minutes later we called and she delivered the Pizza to our Vehicle along with a $20 Bow Tie Gift card. We ordered the Beard of Zeus Pizza and it was Fantastic. The Crust the cooked chicken was very good. Can't say enough how we were treated by this Bow Tie Sage Hill location. We will be trying other menu items in the future. There were lots of people coming and going at this location which tells you the food and service is great.“
