“I came into to Pachamama’s Soul Cafe wanting to try chitlins. As it turned out, it was one of those “nosering” joints. You know, where they look at you and you look at them, and you both figure it won’t be long for the door. Anyway, it looked nice. I tried out the swing chair. I looked at the menu. Usually, in these kinda joints the token meat item on the board was barely enough to feed a kitten. I don’t think it's fair. Most normal aka good restaurants serve a token meal for you. It looks rather flavorless if you ask me, but hey vegetarians are just omnivores who make bad choices. Most carnivores will eat a burger. Buy a George Foreman grill. You be you. I’ll be me. Leave the politics out of it. I looked at the modest menu. The smaller the menu, the better the food. There was a sign warning you that the food might take a minute. Another excellent sign of tasty food to come. You can have it good, have it fast, or you can have quality. Pick two. The place was busy’ish at 2:00 PM. Another excellent sign. Now I wanted to screw around with the staff for a while. I said “I don’t see any chitlins, is there another menu?” Eyes rolled. My wife chose the apple cheese sandwich, I had already chose the BLT Panini. But I wasn’t done screwing with the staff yet. They suggested I try the taco salad. I stared at the menu a bit. The staff looked at me and said “I think you’d like the taco salad. It’s not very spicy”. I told them that “that’s a shame because I like mine spicy”. At this point they start insisting that they can make it spicy. LIttle do they know if they said “Try the taco salad, it’s nice and spicy”. I would have just said “Oh no, I don’t care for spicy food”. Anyway, I looked at the menu. I tested the limits of her patience. She eventually asked the new fella to take over. I could tell he was new as his nose was pristine as mine. I kept screwing around until they had all caught on. I told them that “I didn’t think that they sold soul food and I better taste the soul or I’m gonna accuse them of the old bait and switch”. So me and my wife waited on their patio and enjoyed the complimentary dog. It did take a minute. But the time flew by as I watched my wife make a new friend. We swapped halves and there was soul in every bite. They gave us a couple samples. One was a beetroot humuus, bursting with both flavour and soul. There was an oatmeal square that had the sweetness dialed in perfectly. It made you want to eat more sweet without sweeting you out, if you catch my drift. They also brought a sample of a cauliflower soup with the word “emo” in the name. Jesus Christ, where do they get these people. Anyway I was fully feeling the love and looking forward to the soup. I look at my wife awestruck. She goes “yeah, I know, wow”. I went back into the restaurant and they asked me “Do we sell soul food?”. I told them “in every bite”. I told them they gave me “an itty bitty bowl with great big soul”. Was I hungry? No. My wife, no, she gave half her sandwich to the dog. I’m not sure about the dog. Probably. Was it a soul restaurant?. I say hell yeah, they sell soul by the bowl. Great place! Will I be back? Of course, I want a big bowl now.“

“Our whole family came to Odd burger 🍔 on 14st Friday night Aug 22nd. All 9 of us @ 6pm and stayed until 9 pm. The two gals were soooo great. Our order was made sooo quick and delious. They were very kind and helpful. We love dining there our 40 th time. Great place. 😊“

“My daughter and I dined at 530pm yesterday, May 24th 2025. We chose to sit in the dining room. We were lead to a table by the fireplace under a great chandelier. The ambiance of Joey Crowfoot is lively and warm. Comfortable seating, perfectly sized tables, and excellent lighting. Our server, whose name I can't recall - tall dark and handsome and a theater major - was attentive and friendly. The food we had was absolutely incredible. We chose goyza dumplings to start which were so flavourful and perfectly cooked. My daughter ordered the hamburger and fries and even with her braces bothering her, she demolished. My blackened chicken with warm potato salad was hands down the BEST meal I've had in a restaurant in a long, long time. I will be dreaming of that salad until I can get back there again !!“

“Just had dinner here with 3 friends. We all loved our meals which is an awesome experience! I had the west coast salmon which was spectacular, a friend raved about the burger and we even had desserts which were to die for.“

“I had dinner tonight at The Himalayan (17 Ave SW). It was my first time here, and only my second Nepalese restaurant I’ve been to. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable and very kind. The restaurant is clean, and intimate. Parking isn’t ideal, but that’s not their fault! I started with the pork momos as an appetizer. They were excellent, but quite expensive ($16 for six regular-sized dumplings). The flavour was great, and they tasted very fresh. For my main, I had Chicken Dal Bhatt, which came with three small dishes of meat and curry and lentils, along with rice, naan and some side dishes. Each of the individual dishes had incredible flavour. They were also hot and fresh, as were the momos. The meal was served on a metal platter, and the small bowls were also metal. It was beautifully presented. As soon as I finished my main meal, the waiter offered me a chai and mango pudding (included in the meal). The chai was aromatic and spicy and earthy and amazing! The mango pudding was icy cold (also in a metal dish), and hit the spot at the end of the meal. For my appetizer and main meal, I opted for mild / zero spice. Everything was so flavourful I don’t regret this decision. However next time, I’ll live a little and try the medium heat. Overall, this was a 10/10 for me and I’m really glad I had the chance to try out this restaurant!!“

“Came on a weekday, which was perfect because weekends here get very busy — expect a bit of a wait then. The absolute standout was the service. Every staff member was so kind, upbeat, and welcoming, and our food arrived hot and incredibly fast.

“9.5/10 The all-you-can-eat at Gaucho was incredibly satisfying. Once you flip your card to green, servers come around with a wide variety of meats, carving them right at your table. When you need a break, just flip it to red and they pause service until you're ready again. The meats were juicy, tender, and full of flavor. A few cuts were a bit more rare than my usual preference, but they were still delicious and never tough or chewy. The selection of sides and salads was excellent. We especially loved the potato salad and, of course, the Caesar. Service was fast and attentive, and the meat servers came by quickly every time they saw the green card up. Loved the whole experience and will definitely be back!“

“Dairy Lane is an elevated cafe that does not disappoint on flavour and hospitality.

We quickly were led to a table inside, where after a short perusal of the breakfast menu we ordered.

I had the Mushroom Benny, with a side of chicken sausage. As you can see from the photo is was very well presented, and it also tasted great. The only difficulty I had was the knife I was given would not cut the English Muffin the Benny was severed on (I don't know if it was the knife or the Muffin, but the knife made quick work of the sausage so I'm leaning towards the Muffin) so it was way messier to eat than it had to be.

Everyone who works at village is so nice from my experience but she went above and beyond, put sparklers in our friend’s birthday scoop of icecream, and even joined us in singing happy birthday 😇. Village also has the best ice cream in Calgary and that is the hill I am willing to die on lol!“

“My wife and I decided to have pizza on Friday Oct 15. We went to our favorite pub that makes very good Pizza but we found it to busy so we decided to order take out. We had a Bow Tie Pizza (Sage Hill) menu that we decided to try. We placed our order at 5:20 PM and were told the Pizza would be ready by 6:00 PM. I showed up at 6:05 PM to pick it up. The young gal at the counter told me our order had been missed and said it would be another 20 minutes and the Pizza would be on the house no charge. I told her I would wait the 20 minutes but wanted to pay for it. She insisted that it was on the house and to call her when we were in the parking lot and she would bring it to our Vehicle. So 20 minutes later we called and she delivered the Pizza to our Vehicle along with a $20 Bow Tie Gift card. We ordered the Beard of Zeus Pizza and it was Fantastic. The Crust the cooked chicken was very good. Can't say enough how we were treated by this Bow Tie Sage Hill location. We will be trying other menu items in the future. There were lots of people coming and going at this location which tells you the food and service is great.“
