Based on the reviews, Verona Pizza is a family owned business known for serving the absolute best pizza in downtown. The pizza is amazing, freshly made, and melts in the mouth delicious. The cheese is endless, with a nice herby sauce, good bread, and great toppings. The vegetarian pizza is loaded with toppings, and the sweet chilli pizza with ham and pineapple is also amazing. The customer service is very friendly, speedy, and always pleasant to deal with. It is a great lunch option when working downtown. However, the pizza is a bit on the pricier side per slice, especially for the size. It is also difficult to drive there, so it is best recommended for those already in downtown craving pizza. There is a problem with their service hours, as they are never actually open at posted times, so it is best to go around 12-2. Despite this, it is one of the best pizzas in Calgary and a must try.
