Had a birthday party asked them to split the bill between the guests, lied and said they would but rather put the entire bill on one with a 20% gratuity. The ravioli is disgusting and the manager, Brye needs better management skill. Better places to wine and dine.“

“maybe just the time we came(saturday night) but the wine by the glass selection was poor. And the cocktail i tried was boring…not worth but maybe just a non-representative first insight we had, who knows…
Update 2nd stay:
way better, less crowded, friendly staff and good wine and cocktail selections this time! As anticipated, the first time was not representative of the potential of Missy‘s and I gladly revise my conclusion!“

“This place is amazing. We first had aperitivo, then pasta and finally dessert. Everything was simply amazing. Aperitivo we had arancini and meatballs with Aperol Spritz, great price on the happy hour menu and wow that tomato sauce was amazing!! The pasta fileja was so delicious, we ordered one boscaiola and one with nduja, both excellent!!! Dessert - tiramisu and bombolone gelato, paired with the suggested cocktails, another success! The whole experience was so good that I can’t wait to be back and try something else. Also the servers were amazing and Biagio very friendly! Perfect date!! Grazie! 🙏“

The waitress was cordial and the food was amazing.

“Incredible little hamburger joint. Re-imagined classics served in a cozy 70's era restaurant; think paneled wood walls, kitschy decorations, and lots of orange.
I like to order the Donald McRonald and the coney fries. They also have a really interesting drink menu and 2 flavors of ice cream.

Alfredo sauce has a smooth texture & complimented the added chicken. Hubby has enjoyed both visits. Toscana Italian Grill on Macleod has become one of our favourite restaurants for value, good portions and amazing service. Families are welcome and very accommodating for children!“

“Went with my husband for our first anniversary, I cannot say enough good things about this place! We were given a hand signed card, complimentary bubbly upon arrival, incredible service by all the staff (shout out to our server Tess, you were awesome), delicious food (get the mashed potatoes) and a complimentary dessert. The DJ set the perfect mood too. Everything here was incredible!“

“Aug 21st. I had booked a small party of 5 on the lounge side to celebrate my friend upcoming wedding. One of the ladies had brought her baby. Totally not remembering the lounge is only for guest aging 18 and up. The receptionist informed us due to us having a baby we could not eat on the lounge side, but we could eat in the dining area. However the dining area was fully book!

She didn't want us to leave, and ran to get her manager! The manager flew in and saved the day for us! He made space for us and made sure we had a beautiful, and private dinner! The server we had was friendly and overall the best!

For something that I screwed up during booking, they swooped in and fixed the mess. Never pointing blame or giving up on us, and ensuring the bride had a lovely time! One of the BEST customer services I have ever encountered! The food was divine! I fully recommend this place!

“I made a reservation for the Father’s Day dinner with Modern Steak last night and was honestly a little nervous bringing my kids; especially my 3 year old with complex allergies. This was the first time dining in a more upscale restaurant where my son hasn’t been relegated to a plate of fries or a bowl or rice. I can’t fully express how incredible it was to have delicious and healthy options for my son - this was the first time where he’s been able to have a starter, main and dessert that met all his allergy needs. “The restaurant's interior is very charming. I’m usually not a fan of oysters, but the small oysters (possibly raspberry?) were surprisingly delicious; they tasted almost like clams and didn’t have a fishy flavour. I would definitely order them again.

The pasta and gnocchi were excellent. If you enjoy shrimp and salmon, you will love the lunch pasta and gnocchi menus, which are also reasonably priced.

The waiter was very nice. Even though we were seated on the patio, he consistently kept my coffee and water glass filled.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I will definitely go back for dinner sometime!“

“What an amazing space. Feels so open. Good menu options with something for everyone. Had the NY steak and it was disappointing. Asked for medium rare and it arrived as medium. Also, there was hardly any sear on the meat. Disappointing as visually the restaurant comes across as very high end.

Everything else at our table was ok. No issues. Service was good and friendly.

“Always wonderful food. Had the monthly special, a community plate called Harissa shrimp spaghettini. My daughter had her favourite margarita pizza without basil and my husband and I shared a lovely and simple green salad with apple and sunflower seeds. He also had a meat inspired pizza. Our server was kind enough to take pictures from different perspectives we honoured his going the extra mile with a bigger tip“

“We have been driving past this place for months and finally decided to give it a go. Starbelly did nothing but impress from the very beginning. The layout of the room is something you just don't get in restaurants much anymore: huge, open-kitchen style with lots of action. Starbelly has one of the more underrated cocktail menu's in Calgary as well, the bartenders there were noticeably experienced and the menu is top-to-bottom knockouts for food and beverage alike.“
