“After landing and dropping our bags in Canmore, hunger led us straight to Tavern 1883. Sitting at the base of a mountain, the outdoor seating had a perfect view that set the tone right away. The staff was welcoming, the beers hit the spot (beer really does taste better on vacation), and everyone’s food came out exactly as ordered.\n\nI went with a bison burger—because when I’m out west, it’s always bison or elk for me—and it was fantastic. Between the views, the relaxed vibe, a solid happy hour, and great service, Tavern 1883 was the perfect first stop.“

Food is amazing and cooked to a very high standard , atmosphere just perfect and staff are always friendly providing an excellent service. “Food was delicious but the service mediocre. The server must have had a bad day and unfortunately it kinda ruined my experience. I didn’t received a warm welcoming, caring and friendly service. Plus, the server made a mistake in my order and gave me attitude for that. At the end, I was so uncomfortable and just impatient to leave…“

“Wow, what a special time we had at Sauvage! It was the most excellent way to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. From the moment we were greeted at the door, we were in for a magical evening. The Hunter tasting menu was very creative and delicious, every dish was so good, and each of the unique foods and flavours were balanced perfectly. A truly special culinary experience. The attention to all the details (music, atmosphere, beautiful dishes, amazing chef-created food, etc.) was above and beyond. And, to top it all off....on the walk home there was a congratulations card in my pocket, signed by each of the staff. Thank you to everyone at Sauvage, looking forward to next time!“

“We just had dinner at Indian Authentic Cuisine and had a wonderful meal. One of us had lived in India for awhile and said the food was very authentic! I just thought it was delicious. We had garlic naan and rice and samosas and 2 main dishes. It was very reasonably priced and fed 3 of us. I would highly recommend the restaurant.“
