“This is always one of our stops when we do a mountain getaway. Service is 5 star and food and drinks are high end. We always bring friends whether for a hot drink or after appys. This is our go to for a relaxing afternoon with beautiful views all year round.“
“Spent a Friday night here with a few friends. The food was amazing and the beers were just as tasty. If you’re gonna go prebook your bowling lane . My only complaints was that the server was not coming by very frequently to check on what we needed. Will go back again!“
“Wow! We had not been to Grapes in four years and this year the experience did not disappoint! It was such a treat to see Dana. She has an incredible knowledge of the extensive wines and food available and makes wonderful recommendations. It is such a comfortable, inviting restaurant. We will be back!“
“Daily happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m., good domestic Lager Beer, served from very friendly Larissa!I ordered the Beaver Burger within the Happy Hour, Jesus Christ, he was really good and enough for the rest of the day! It’s really a pleasure to spent some quality time after a hard day of skiing here and to leave a positive comment for this nice place, I enjoyed it very much!Helgo from Germany“
“We always get amazing service here! It’s a go to spot as it’s not far from where we live. Always amazing choices! I usually try something new each time! Our server (not sure of her name) but Australian March 18 around 8pm! Maybe Natalie??? She was amazing! Such a sweetheart and totally deserves some praise! Was the highlight of our day and we appreciate her! I got the quesadilla explosion salad! Portion was huge and Very filling! Could share with another. All in all it’s always great and we will continue to come back. Thanks!!“

“Magpie and Stump in Banff promises a unique experience with its Mexican-themed ambiance amidst the mountainous landscape. The restaurant certainly delivers on its promise, offering a lively atmosphere reminiscent of Mexico.Their quesadillas are a treat for the taste buds, with gooey cheese and flavorful fillings wrapped in a warm tortilla. They strike a perfect balance between traditional Mexican flavors and local ingredients. The fajitas are no different. Sizzling and aromatic, these fajitas definitely pleases everyone. The generous portions of tender meat and colorful veggies make for a satisfying meal, perfect for sharing among friends or family. If i were to collapse there, you can definitely revive me with the tacos. Magpie and Stump's tacos are a must-try, with a variety of fillings to choose from, including savory meats, fresh seafood, and vibrant vegetarian options. Each bite bursts with authentic Mexican flavors, transporting diners to the streets of Mexico. It is also outstanding how when you walk in here, you'll find people of all races and creeds there to enjoy the meal. I love itOverall, Magpie and Stump offers a fantastic dining experience with its Mexican-inspired menu and mountainous backdrop. Whether you're craving classic dishes like quesadillas and fajitas or looking to indulge in refreshing drinks like tequila, Corona, and bulldogs, this restaurant has something for everyone.Parking: There is a free 9 hour parking lot in park plus just blocks away from Banff Ave. It is a life saver.“
“We’ve been to a Keg restaurant before and had high hopes. This one was hit and miss. The bread was great, the salad was ok but the mac and cheese was terrible. It was runny and had a pungent, overpowering cheese in it. We both ordered steaks. I loved the ribeye, my wife liked her filet but it was a bit undercooked and the vegetables that come with it were not seasoned. We both liked the twice baked potatoes.“
“This place was my favourite restaurant we went to in Banff. The vibe is great (music and aesthetic), food was delish (vegan options labelled), and the drinks were all dairy-free and delicious. I recommend the chocolate sake bomb ?Vegetarian options: Vegan and vegetarian options are labelled“
