“I recently dined at El Toro and was impressed. The food was delicious, and the manager Pramod provided excellent service. The staff were also friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant for its tasty dishes and great hospitality.“
“Hidden gem in Banff! This family restaurant located on Banff Ave is must try if you are looking for Indian food. The staff was incredibly nice, our server Raja was very thoughtful and it really felt we were taken care of. We ordered different food including apetizers, mysore dosa, goat curry, butter chicken, naan and roti. Everything was delicious and couldn't say a bad word about any of them. This wasn't my first visit and definitely not last one!“
“Everything is freshly made daily including the bread and English muffins used for breakfast items, to the pastries and chai tea, also serve locally brewed coffee! The breakfast sandwich was such a pleasant surprise, it seemed simple at first glance but what a perfect combination of flavors and whatever seasoning was used blew me away. We also got the avocado toast which was elevated with a poached egg, goat cheese, and balsamic on freshly baked sourdough. The homemade chai tea like the owner’s grandma used to make was amazing. I normally don’t drink chai but loved my husband’s so much I had to get my own cup. It’s just a short drive from downtown, we noticed mainly locals and regulars coming in to this husband and wife owned shop. Update: After trying some other breakfast spots in town, nothing can compete with Bare Bistro so we revisited today getting to try to eggs benedict and omelette, the sauce used for the benedict was amazing (homemade of course). We also tried some of the pastries which were all perfectly baked and delicious. We’ve tried just about everything on the menu and haven’t been disappointed in anything. We will be back tomorrow to finish trying everything (mainly pastries left). Very friendly owners and you can tell they take pride in what they do (as they should). Thank you so much Fonda and Alfredo!“
“This delicious vegetarian/vegan restaurant immediately became my "go to" choice for lunches while in Banff. It was recommended to me by a local, and for good reason! The food is creative, incredibly tasty, and - well - nourishing. ? The service is friendly and personal. Very welcoming. Highly recommend.“
“rare indeed to find such a gem. The room is warm and cozy. feels like the center of downtown. locals abound, mixing with visitors. Staff sets high expectations for themselves. Kitchen is first class. At night with candles on the tables and lowered lights the room becomes romantic as any. Highly recommended. Of note: They have supported donor supported CKUA Radio for over 25 years.“
“I had the breakfast sandwich with tomato. I feel like it was a little bit overpriced but I kind of think everything is these days and it was good. The shop was really cute and there were these little finches that were coming into the shop and going out as people opened and closed the door and that was really cute.“
“Came to Boston pizza in banff and everything was great! Love the kids menu, tons of options that you don't really find in banff much. The manager, I think he said his name is ian popped by to say hello and was super kind and recommended a bunch of spots to check out around banff! Would definitely come back ☺️“
“Nestled in the highlands of Banff , Maclab Bistro offers an exquisite culinary journey that transcends the ordinary. During our recent visit, we indulged in an array of shareable plates and mains that left us utterly captivated. To start, the Falafel & Trio of Dips presented a tantalizing fusion of flavors. The chickpea falafel was perfectly crispy on the outside and delightfully tender on the inside, complemented by the creamy textures of hummus, ajvar, and smoked eggplant dip. The addition of garlic sauce and bursts of pomegranate seeds elevated the dish to new heights, creating a symphony of Middle Eastern flavors on the palate.Next, the Fried Halloumi Cheese & Shishito Peppers transported us to a realm of culinary bliss. The harmonious marriage of harissa maple glaze and green onions infused the crispy halloumi cheese with a delectable sweetness and a hint of spice. Each bite was a revelation, a delightful interplay of textures and tastes that left us craving for more. The Mushrooms and Truffle Oil flatbread showcased the chef's mastery of flavors and ingredients. The caramelized onions, sweet peppers, and arugula pistou danced in harmony atop a canvas of crispy flatbread, while the creamy garlic sauce and shredded mozzarella added a touch of indulgence. Every bite was a symphony of earthy flavors and delicate aromas, a testament to the Bistro's commitment to culinary excellence. For mains, the Classic Maclab Burger proved to be a culinary masterpiece in its own right. The succulent beef patty, adorned with crispy bacon, melted cheddar cheese, and a medley of mushrooms and caramelized onions, created a symphony of flavors that delighted the senses. The addition of fresh lettuce, tomatoes, dill pickle, and horseradish aioli further elevated the dish, resulting in a burger experience that was nothing short of extraordinary.Lastly, the Grilled Char Sui Tofu Bowl offered a delightful fusion of flavors and textures. The perfectly grilled char sui tofu, nestled atop a bed of sushi rice and black quinoa, was complemented by creamy avocado, tangy orange segments, and crisp carrots and cucumber. The vegan XO sauce added a depth of umami flavor, while sesame seeds and rice crisps provided a satisfying crunch. “Great food and drinks! We had the ribs and the rotisserie chicken sandwich, with the smoked s'more and old fashioned ice cream for dessert. The s'more was average, everything else was fantastic. Really cool atmosphere and our waiter was friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.“
“? Just had the most amazing dining experience at Old Spaghetti Factory! ?Hands down, this is the best restaurant I've ever visited! From the incredible food at a fair price to the top-notch service, every aspect exceeded my expectations. ?The Italian interior creates the perfect ambiance, and don't even get me started on the free delicious bread with homemade garlic butter while you wait - absolute heaven! ??And let's talk about the drinks! My favorite beer with citrus notes perfectly complemented the meal. ?But the highlight? The best juicy steak I've ever had! ??If you're looking for a dining experience that hits all the right spots, look no further than Old Spaghetti Factory. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! #OldSpaghettiFactory #FoodieHeaven #DiningDelight ?️✨“
“Such a gem of a local brewery. We went 2x during our week visit in Banff. The service was very attentive and they kept our beers full. The atmosphere is cozy and everything you would hope for in a local Canadian brewery. Tons of indoor seating and outdoor balcony seating, overlooking Banff Ave.They have flights of 6. The PB&J beer was insane! I recommend the mac n cheese, and the falafel wrap.Vegetarian options: Several appetizers, mains and sandwich options“
“I happened to stop by this place as a first customer on the first day of the new year. It was very clean, even the restrooms were very clean. The ginger beef, stir-fried eggplant, and special fried rice that everyone recommended were all very delicious. The servers were so attentive that I definitely want to stop by again on my next trip to Banff. “My girlfriend and I went down to Banff for night and when we were leaving the hotel we asked the front desk where they would recommend eating breakfast and were directed here. The portions were huge, and the staff were kind and fast to serve us. The restaurant was packed and there was a line outside but moved fairly quickly the door.We went down for breakfast and it was amazing, food was soooo good.“
“Great food. Great staff. Wonderful experience.Dietary restrictions: Let my waitress know of an allergy and she did amazing letting the kitchen know and reassuring me of each and every step she took in order to ensure my physical safety. Lovely staff“
“I was so delighted by my lunch here that I came back for more the next day. The staff were pleasant and efficient, the space was clean, beautiful, and welcoming, and the food was magnificent. Considering its placement in both Banff and the Fairmont, the prices were reasonable, especially considering the quality.I would absolutely recommend stopping in here, even if you aren't staying at the hotel.“
“Ordered takeout & delivery. 10/10Ordered the Tossed salad, Meat Spaghetti, All Meat Pizza and the So Good Chocolate Cake. Loved it all.I wish the 'Tossed Salad' had some more of the veggies on it, was a bit sparse. The 'So Good Chocolate Cake' was SO SO GOOD!!“
“Lively and delicious! This restaurant was recommended by our ski guide at lake Louise. We made a same day reservation and were seated immediately on arrival. We ordered the two drink specials white sangria and a raspberry mojitos both were delicious. We opted for two appetizers hummus and Greek street fries. The hummus and grilled pita were great but I think $13 cad is high for the portion. The star was the fries with feta, green onions, lemon sauce, and a garlic mayo dip. I’ll be back for more. Entrees were the lamb souvlaki and edamame falafel sandwich. Both great choices. The servers and food runners were also very professional.Same owners for 40 years. Live entertainment several days per week.“
“We met Ron at his other restaurant… (earls) and he was so kind and funny … he knew we had a reservation at his other restaurant (Saltlik) and when we were seated he had a champagne toast delivered to us.. all of the employees are kind and available… they have created a wonderful atmosphere for both locals and visitors… Lillie is amazing at Earls btw. And the food is amazing.. it is a family establishment as his son is the manager of Earls and his daughter is the sous chef at Saltlik… highly recommend.“
“Our server Daniel at the Vermillion Room was absolutely AMAZING! He not only offered some of the best service I’ve ever had at a restaurant, but he went out of his way to bring special dietary requirements to our table without being asked and tracked down a beer that wasn’t on the menu. The food was great, but the service was over and above.“
