“Everything is freshly made daily including the bread and English muffins used for breakfast items, to the pastries and chai tea, also serve locally brewed coffee! The breakfast sandwich was such a pleasant surprise, it seemed simple at first glance but what a perfect combination of flavors and whatever seasoning was used blew me away. We also got the avocado toast which was elevated with a poached egg, goat cheese, and balsamic on freshly baked sourdough. The homemade chai tea like the owner’s grandma used to make was amazing. I normally don’t drink chai but loved my husband’s so much I had to get my own cup. It’s just a short drive from downtown, we noticed mainly locals and regulars coming in to this husband and wife owned shop. Update: After trying some other breakfast spots in town, nothing can compete with Bare Bistro so we revisited today getting to try to eggs benedict and omelette, the sauce used for the benedict was amazing (homemade of course). We also tried some of the pastries which were all perfectly baked and delicious. We’ve tried just about everything on the menu and haven’t been disappointed in anything. We will be back tomorrow to finish trying everything (mainly pastries left). Very friendly owners and you can tell they take pride in what they do (as they should). The special all inclusive main, salad or soup and icecream and coffee is great value, fresh tasting, came out quickly and quite filling. “Derrek was our server and I need to mention him first because he made our first visit an amazing one. A server has a huge impact on the overall experience and Derrek was warm, welcoming, attentive, informative (knew the menu well) and had a great sense of humour. The food was very delicious and reasonably priced. We loved our little table by the window. I highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back again. 👏“

“honestly the best tasting burger i’ve had in banff, it was deliciously perfect.

my one gripe is my cab driver called this place affordable when it’s absolutely not, prices seem to have risen over the years. attached is the new menu prices which has an almost $10 increase compared to the last one i saw on google reviews. but, the burger is worth it and the space is decent.“

“I ordered a lavender honey latte and was patiently waiting at one of the window seats. I noticed one of the baristas make a hot drink and set it at the drink stand. She took the drink ticket and placed it on the metal stick where the finished drink tickets go. She then continued to talk to her coworker. No name was called out and I waited a few minutes until I had to go up myself and look at the drink ticket pile to see if it was my drink. I found this odd because prior drinks the barista would call out the persons name.. other than that the lavender honey latte was good“

“Banff's best kept secret? The townsite's restaurants were super busy due to Melissa's Run and it was difficult to get in anywhere to eat before late evening. The Vistas was quiet, and the buffet was amazing. There were lots of choices for any diet. And you cannot beat the incredible view! Call ahead to let them know how many are coming.“

“Oh wow... I was honestly treated so much better here than I was at the keg that I worked for personally back in Calgary. Our server Lauren was so kind and spot on with our table service, and when the missus' steak was a little underdone for her liking, Lauren took care of it right away and had it cooked by the kitchen staff to perfection. Gerry/Jerry the General Manager came over to our table and wanted to make sure everything was tasting great (which it was!) and he was such a delight to speak with. I honestly wished my GM from the Keg I worked with back in Calgary was even half as friendly as he was! Thank you to everybody who was on that night for making our Valentines Day so amazing, and we will certainly be back to eat at the Keg in the Caribou lodge specifically!
