“We start most Sunshine days at Java lift - get to the hill early to avoid traffic and catch the sunrise before the lifts open. Monogram coffee is one of my favourites from Calgary and the drinks are well made and worth the little extra. Delicious & fresh breakfast muffins, sandwiches and pastries. “The Strawberry pastry was truly exceptional—one of those desserts that lingers in your memory long after the last bite. It was incredibly light, almost airy, with a delicate balance of sweetness that allowed the fresh strawberry flavor to shine through beautifully. Nothing felt heavy or overly rich; instead, every layer complemented the next, creating a refreshing and elegant treat. The texture was just perfect—soft, slightly creamy, and subtly crisp where it needed to be.

The Passion Cake was equally impressive, offering a vibrant contrast with its bright, tropical notes. The passion fruit flavor was bold yet refined, delivering just the right amount of tanginess to balance the sweetness. It had a smooth, luscious consistency that melted effortlessly, making each bite indulgent without being overwhelming.

The new hazelnuts croissant 🥐 was a bit too rich but still super unique and worth trying it at least once.

Together, these two pastries showcased a wonderful mastery of flavor and texture. You can tell great care and attention went into crafting them. They weren’t just desserts—they were experiences. If you appreciate pastries that are both refined and full of flavor, these are absolutely worth trying.“

“Decent quick serve Vietnamese spot in Banff. Order at the counter and sit down to eat or take it to go. Reasonable price point and a large menu with several vegetarian items to choose from, which is hard to find in Banff. Stopped in for a quick lunch and ordered the vege salad rolls (HUGE) and two vege tofu bowls. Big portions, I had some leftover to take with me. The food isn’t mind blowingly delicious, but it’s good. Washrooms were blocked off/closed and I’m not sure why.“
