Delicious food and fun…fun…fun
I highly recommend Balkan while you are at Banff. We were looking for halal food & we are in a hurry. We took the halal Lamb kofta as a take away. The salad was as refreshing as Banff’s crisp air, and the kofta itself were flavourful, a great match to the city’s atmosphere. Was travelling from Australia. If we ever visit Banff again, a dine in experience in Balkan will be at the top of my bucket list.

The Balkan Mediterranean Restaurant offers fresh, tasty food and a lovely atmosphere. Guests enjoyed the lamb gyro, Alberta beef, Greek fest platter, spicy whipped feta, chicken souvlaki, and Tito’s and Tonic. The food was quite spectacular, full of flavor and tender, with fries described as the best ever. The menu is strong, with many Greek favorites and delicious cocktails. Service is particularly good, with attentive, friendly, and wonderful staff who answer questions and make the experience fun. The atmosphere is superb, and Greek night on Fridays features belly dancers. The restaurant is not as crowded as others, with immediate seating and timely food. Overall, it is a great place with outstanding food, lovely ambience, and a very positive experience.
