Pho Dao Ba used to be my go-to spot for pho, but over time the flavour became noticeably bland and watered down. Saigon Chef, on the other hand, truly delivers. Their broth is exceptionally rich, deeply flavourful, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice.

The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, and it’s clear this is a family-run establishment that takes pride in both their food and service.

Portion-wise, they are extremely generous with the beef. While many places tend to cut corners, Saigon Chef does not disappoint. CLEANED

“I’ve tried a lot of banh mi places around this area and the rest of the city. This is going to be my new go to when I’m nearby. The beef satay sub was very flavourful, saucy and tender. The pork belly sub was tender and tasty. I love the pickled carrots on the sub. Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk was perfect too, and good value compared to nearby shops.“

“It was quite busy on a sunday during lunch time, there was a bit of a wait they were able to accommodate our big party. They didnt their best to clear the tables and take out orders. I enjoyed the spring rolls and the sate beef pho, the small pho was a perfect size for me and tasted great. Finding parking was quite of bit of an issue as it was very busy.“

“Food came fast, and the serving was proportionate. The food tasted good too, but I felt a lack of service. There were 3 of us, but only 2 glasses of water were served. And when they refilled our water, only 1 was given a refill even when the others needed water too. The server didn't come back nor ask.

When we were finishing up our food, we noticed the shrimp we ordered wasn't cleaned either. We probably won't come back here unless there's no other choice.“

“We ordered chicken satay soup last night my favorite food they did such an amazing job it was so good I ordered extra vegetables with mine they were very generous. Their shrimp salad rolls are wonderful. Brian likes curry chicken added to his soup. That was wonderful and loaded with chicken and vegetables as well

“I had “cháo lòng” today. I also bought to-go “cơm tấm” and “bún măng”. They all tasted really good. This restaurant is a hidden gem. When I googled Vietnamese restaurants for some special dishes, this place has never been showed up. However, I just knew Pho V restaurant by word of mouth and it surprised me. The decoration is basic and there is no website for advertisement. However, the food is beyond my expectation. I will bring my own pot and buy “bún bò Huế” next time.“

The Pho is always delicious and the options for rare and medium meat are fantastic, the vermicelli with ground shrimp is also delicious and their salad rolls + their quail are great too. The only item they've ever missed was a sauce once or twice, the packaging is clean and efficient. Their wait time is also minimal! Would definitely recommend eating here or ordering from here!“

“The owner of the truck was fantastic with his rolling banter that was actually a street performance and yes, the crowd began forming while we were waiting for our excellent subs at Millarville Market this month. The bun was fresh, the cilantro plentiful and the meat tender. The addition of elastic bands around the outer wrap helped keep the bun tight and mouth friendly. Will I do it again? Every time I see Viet2Go, yes I will!“
