“10/5 would eat here all day every day if I could afford to LOL. My mind was blown at all that was on offer. Whoever your chefs are my hats off to them. The food the flavors the pairings the combinations of flavors the presentation on top of an atmosphere carefully curated into a cozy lively Japanese style tapas bar with the most stellar customer service from your servers you can't go wrong here, you just can't. My brain had fireworks going off the entire time I was there tasting everything I had ordered from the duck and beef tataki to the 5 assorted sashimi and the aburi saba. It was "chef's kiss". If you're new to Edmonton and love Japanese styled and inspired foods you HAVE TO COME HERE. Reservations highly encouraged we got lucky to get in as quick as we did without one, but this place is VERY popular.“

“My boyfriend and I were visiting Edmonton from out of town in October of 2025. I used to live there and attended UofA, so we got an AirBnB in the area. Before we went to a show at Midway Music Hall, I wanted to walk down Whyte Ave to reminisce and get some food. My boyfriend is a celiac, and a taco enthusiast, so we wanted to find a place that met both of these needs. Marlo Tacos met and exceeded our expectations!

We didn't have a reservation and it was quite busy when we arrived. It isn't a huge space, but they have the tables well set up to utilize it. We managed to get one of the last tables in the place, and I'm so glad we did! The atmosphere, food and drinks were all amazing, and our server was so nice. It was nostalgic for me, having lived there a decade ago, as I got to watch people walking around in an area I've spent tons of time in the past. I also remember when the venue used to be a clothing shop!

The server was attentive and happy to confirm the options were gluten free for my boyfriend. We really appreciated the attention to detail and extra care. It means a lot! I will recommend this place to my family and friends who still live in Edmonton, and will be happy to return when next I visit there!“

“Wow!! Absolutely perfect night out at Bar Bricco!! We came up from Calgary and took my in-laws (from Edmonton)… we all died and went to heaven. Shared the tuna crudo, ricotta, kale salad, charred broccoli, two pastas, and the pork feature. I honestly can’t say which was the best as they were all divine. And our server — Rachel — 💯! She knew everything inside and out and guided us perfectly with cocktails, wine, and food. I will dream about this meal until we return!“

“It is a rarity for me to leave a restaurant actually satisfied with food, because most of the time it has no flavor and the lack of seasoning is covered with sauces. At Woodwork all food was seasoned well (I’m not referring to spice), prepared with care, and served by a lovely staff. The fish and the stakes were cooked to perfection, melting in one’s mouth. Stake tartar was bursting with flavor. It truly was a pleasurable experience. Highly recommended it!!“

“Had a really great experience at this Earls recently. I hadn't been for a while, but the food and drinks were really solid. What really stood out was the service. Tej was incredibly welcoming and professional, and you can tell he really cares about making sure guests have a great time. He checked in at the right moments without being overbearing and handled everything smoothly.

After we were sat at our table we waited about 20 minutes, but every table except ours was checked on. We flagged down one of the waitresses, Mariana, to ask if we could order and it seemed as if there was a mix up for which section we belonged to. “Above and beyond! I came in with a group of girls for my friend’s birthday and they had decorated the table with a sign, table cloth, and candles for her. The service was fast despite it being a very busy night and they even brought out a dessert for her birthday. Love coming here!

Along with a couple martinis and old fashions. I would recommend all of these, and definitely ask for Lisa. Lisa made our night so enjoyable, she was a wonderful server. We’ll be back again.“
