Stopped by Credo on 4th Street mid-morning on a layover between meetings and was glad I did. Their oat milk cortado was perfectly balanced, not watery like most places try to pull off, and the guy behind the counter actually took the time to explain their rotating single-origin beans without being pretentious about it. Stopped by for a coffee last Thursday around 7pm after work and it was just as good as always, maybe twenty years coming here and the quality never slips. Got my usual oat milk cortado and the barista remembered exactly how I like it without me even asking. The spot on Whyte Ave gets a nice quiet hum in the evenings, good lighting for reading without feeling too sleepy or too loud. Still my favorite place in Edmonton to grab a coffee and unwind after a long day.
Stopped by after a shoot downtown and grabbed a coffee here around 8pm on a weeknight, place was still buzzing but not packed. The barista actually asked what lens I was using when she saw my camera on the table, which was a nice touch. Their oat milk latte was smooth with none of that weird separation you get elsewhere, and the exposed brick and warm lighting made for a pretty solid backdrop for a couple casual shots.
