“First time at this iconic Edmonton spot and so mad I didn't try it sooner. 100% vibes - from the line up to order to the decorated paperplates on every surface that isn't (or is) covered in graffiti. Plus, the bulgogi on rice ir with noodles is amazing 🤤 next visit its pizza.

Busy place, not a lot of seating so be ready to make friends or maybe wait for a spot to open if you want to dine in.

Will be back and absolutely taking friends from out of town.“

“We have been going to Baekjong for a few years now (mostly at their south location until they opened the west location) and we are glad that we finally have a location in the west. Baekjong has never disappointed us in terms of food, taste, portions, quality and service. It has always been top notch and we definitely get our fill for the price we pay. “The food is TO DIE FOR. Their tangsuyuk (탕수육) is possibly the best thing I have ever tasted in my life, and I am obsessed with it. I never leave this restaurant without getting an extra order of it to go.

The jjajangmyeon and jjamppong (it has a lot more seafood than I expected - you can't see it in the photo, but there were 2 crab halves buried under the mountain of noodles and soup) are amazing, and I always get either one of those with some tangsuyuk. These 3 dishes are the trifecta, the holy trinity of this restaurant.

I've tried some of their other dishes like their kanpunggi, dumplings, and fried rice, and they were decent, but nothing too special. I found it hard to care, though, because the holy trinity is so good, you don't need anything else.“

“I’m so glad I tried the bulgogi ramen! The beef was so tender and juicy. The ramen broth had a rich depth that complemented the bulgogi without overpowering it. The noodles were chewy, just the way I like them. A great fusion of Korean flavors. I’ll definitely be coming back for this one!“

“I’ve been here 3 times within 1.5 month because I love the Katsu as it is always fresh and crisp. The restaurant owner was very nice and her crews also very friendly. Today I tried the chicken instead of pork and it was very delicious too. You can have 1 time refill on the salad and soup that is so great. Worth your dollars and they also have buckwheat noodles that fits the summer weather to cool your off from the heat. Will keep visiting 👍🏻“

“I was exploring some unique places and found this store on Google Maps. It was close to our hiking trail that day, so we decided to visit.

The store had a wide variety of Korean tea sets and homemade traditional Korean rice cakes. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

It was our first time seeing these Korean rice cakes, which came in different styles and were made with various ingredients. They can be enjoyed as a dessert or snack with tea (similar to pairing coffee with cakes or pastries). I have also seen characters in Korean dramas giving these Korean rice cakes as gifts to their neighbors when they move into a new home or for a store opening.

We ended up buying two sets of mixed flavor Korean rice cakes. One set had even more variety. The middle one was filled with red bean, the left had black sesame, and the right was sticky rice mixed with soy sauce and other seasonings, topped with red dates, chestnuts, walnuts, pine nuts, pumpkin seeds and raisins. It had both sweet and savory flavors, making it quite special and tasty.

The other set included ingredients like red dates, red kidney beans, green beans and black beans, with a chewy and sticky texture. I thought the yellow one tasted better than the white one.“

Their lunch specials are super tasty ranging from the bulgogi beef to the spicy pork options with lots of sides to choose from.There kitchen option (which only take a couple minutes longer) are also a great choice. I recommend the kimchi fried rice.I load up on the sesame sauce as a must too!“

The best thing we like in this place is you just go and get all the items you want in the buffet table then grill it yourself, no need for ordering again and again for items you like compare to other all you can eat places where you still have to call the waiters and fill up papers you wanna order, which is sometimes awkward. “For quick and convenient Korean food, Koryo delivers consistently. The beef and ribs are flavorful, but the real standout is the potatoes. Coated in a sweet garlic sauce that almost gives them a dessert-like quality, they have an incredible texture. There's pieces that taste like caramel, pieces that taste more savory, it's delicious!“

“Great sushi situation in a house. Their rolls and bulgogi dishes were great. Their sushi is also good with huge portions of sushi. Their dynamic roll was a bit too spicy for me so next time I’ll ask for the spicy mayo to be on the side. They recommended we get the platter next time as it is more economical. Highly recommend. They have a large patio/outside space that would be lovely in the summer.“

Food was good enough, we might ordered the wrong thing, deep fried chicken. Korean BBQ was on the menu, but says sold out?

Was kind confused because we waited a bit and there’s no one serving us, then we realized this thing on the table, you had to place order yourself including water/tea.

Easy parking, not bad if you don’t mind kids running and playing, good place to have loud and heated discussion“
