“My husband and I came here for date night and ordered the Beef combo for 2, and wow! I don’t remember the last time we had to pack up so much food (and we both have healthy appetites). Everything was so yummy, service was good and attentive, and it was a fun experience. Food was fresh, tasty, and generous amount. Really good variety. Even as full as we were, we didn’t feel icky as one sometimes does after overindulging.“

“All of the dishes we ordered were super delicious and not too salty. We ordered the *Bibim Naengmyeon, *Cheese Dakgalbi, *Jjajangmyeon, Beef Jjambbong Tofu Soup, and the Beef Jjambbong. The Jjambbong does have a spicy kick, so beware if you can't handle spice!

The menu is limited but everything that they serve is top tier. Not anything special about service as it's the basic place your order and wait for your number to be called system. “It was our first time at a Korean Chinese restaurant, and I found it more interesting than a regular Chinese restaurant.

The staff immediately greeted us with "an nyeong ha se yo" (hello in Korean) when we came in. We noticed that the staff were chatting with other customers in Korean as well.

The space was not very large, but there were many beautiful paintings on the wall, which made it feel like a gallery.

The menu was available in Korean and English, with detailed descriptions of each dish. They also provided a "popular items" menu with pictures for reference, but we chose what we wanted based on the descriptions.

We ordered Beef Bob, which was attractive with a lot of tasty pan-fried beef. It also included broccoli, baby bok choy, carrots, water chestnuts, straw mushrooms and a flavorful glaze sauce. The dish had a homestyle feel.

We also had Szechuan Jajang. I was interested in both the original and Szechuan versions of jajang myun, and I finally chose the Szechuan version. The staff kindly warned us that it was quite spicy. The dish was topped with cucumber, and the spicy soy bean sauce included shrimp, squid, pork, Korean zucchini and red onions. It also came with sides of pickled radish, onions and sweet soy bean sauce. I mixed the sauce with the noodles, and the flavor was slightly savory and sweet, followed by spiciness. It was great, but I would recommend the original version for those who cannot handle very spicy food.

I noticed someone on Google Maps reviewed it as "The Best Jajang Myun Place in Edmonton". I did not have others to compare it to, but I can definitely say it was delicious.“

“I was exploring some unique places and found this store on Google Maps. It was close to our hiking trail that day, so we decided to visit.

The store had a wide variety of Korean tea sets and homemade traditional Korean rice cakes. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

It was our first time seeing these Korean rice cakes, which came in different styles and were made with various ingredients. They can be enjoyed as a dessert or snack with tea (similar to pairing coffee with cakes or pastries). I have also seen characters in Korean dramas giving these Korean rice cakes as gifts to their neighbors when they move into a new home or for a store opening.

We ended up buying two sets of mixed flavor Korean rice cakes. One set had even more variety. The middle one was filled with red bean, the left had black sesame, and the right was sticky rice mixed with soy sauce and other seasonings, topped with red dates, chestnuts, walnuts, pine nuts, pumpkin seeds and raisins. It had both sweet and savory flavors, making it quite special and tasty.

The other set included ingredients like red dates, red kidney beans, green beans and black beans, with a chewy and sticky texture. I thought the yellow one tasted better than the white one.“

“I’ve been here 3 times within 1.5 month because I love the Katsu as it is always fresh and crisp. The restaurant owner was very nice and her crews also very friendly. Today I tried the chicken instead of pork and it was very delicious too. You can have 1 time refill on the salad and soup that is so great. Worth your dollars and they also have buckwheat noodles that fits the summer weather to cool your off from the heat. Will keep visiting 👍🏻“

The best thing we like in this place is you just go and get all the items you want in the buffet table then grill it yourself, no need for ordering again and again for items you like compare to other all you can eat places where you still have to call the waiters and fill up papers you wanna order, which is sometimes awkward. Very authentic Korean food that tastes as like you are in Korea. You don’t have to fly to eat these dishes.

Sullungtang Broth is out of this world. They keep on boiling it in the big pot, the broth only gets richer as time goes on. Side dishes are lacking but main dish is the bomb.

Helpful staff and they make good recommendations based on your appetite.

“Great sushi situation in a house. Their rolls and bulgogi dishes were great. Their sushi is also good with huge portions of sushi. Their dynamic roll was a bit too spicy for me so next time I’ll ask for the spicy mayo to be on the side. They recommended we get the platter next time as it is more economical. Highly recommend. They have a large patio/outside space that would be lovely in the summer.“
