We recently visited Malina Café in Edmonton, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! Everything we tried was exactly the way real Ukrainian food should be — full of flavor, comfort, and authenticity. Every dish tasted like home.
A very special thank you goes to Chef Lyudmila. She doesn’t just cook — she puts her heart, soul, and incredible skill into every meal, and you can truly feel it in the taste.
Thank you for creating such a warm corner of Ukraine here in Edmonton. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend Malina Café to anyone who misses genuine, delicious Ukrainian cuisine.
We were passing through Edmonton and I had two main goals: the Pivovarov concert and visiting Malina Bakery. Both turned out amazing!
At Malina, I finally felt like I was back home. Homemade food just like in Ukraine fresh, tasty, and comforting. We ordered almost half of the menu, and the portions were so big that we had to take a lot home. The place is beautiful, the food was served within 20 minutes, and the presentation was lovely.
We also bought buns to take with us and ate them the next day — they were still soft and delicious, as if freshly baked.
Honestly, this is the best Ukrainian food I’ve tried in Canada. If you miss real homemade flavors, Malina Bakery is the place to go!

I had the eggs Benedict with bacon… It was delicious and the potatoes were probably one of the best I have ever had! The food came out quick and it was warm and the staff were very friendly even though it was a super busy day!

I love spending time here! The food is always amazing, and the pastries are fresh and so yummy. The syrnyky (Ukrainian cheesecakes) are a must-try, fluffy, rich, and perfectly balanced.
The atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Prices are fair for the quality, and it’s definitely worth supporting a local Ukrainian spot like this.
Go early if you can, the best pastries sell out fast! 🫶🏼

Staff at register made me feel like I was wasting her time. The other staff were super friendly but it only takes one person to sour a review. I'd try it again, the food and drinks were great.
