I think it would be easy for someone to pass this place and not notice- but that would be their loss! This place is great and very affordable. Meat and veggie options, with huge portions! The tea and chili sauce are especially good! Been going there for years! It's great!Vegetarian options: Get the Foul bean dish for breakfast! It's very yummy!
Had a great lunch at the Mareeg today. It was recommended to me by a friend and he was right. The food was good, home-style Somali cooking. I had the chicken and rice, tasty and very fast service. This is a very no-nonsense, down-home style place with excellent prices. Good food with no fuss. The heat in the food comes mainly from the hot sauce. My friend KHALIL recommended this place to me. He loves this place and I was very skeptical given the outside of the building, but after tasting the food and great customer service I can say my friend khalil was right.
