Seasonal tasting menu and authentic Canadian cuisine
We had dinner at The Butternut Tree Restaurant last night and decided to go with the Tasting Menu.
It is wonderfully curated and each step had us anticipating the next. But of the 7 courses, my favourite was the halibut cooked in butter with the einkorn and peas. That is the absolute best dish I’ve ever had in my life.
It is a very relaxing atmosphere with a great view and the most attentive staff.
We will definitely be coming back again.
DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR A PRIVATE EVENT. Had a awful experience with this restaurant. We had booked a corporate event and rented out the whole venue. The staff and owner were unaccomdating and difficult to plan the event with. Beware of hidden fees and exaggerated rental costs. This restaurant charges a premium but does not operate in that way.
