Ate at the food truck while the restaurant roof was fixed from the 2024 fires. Samosas and Mumbai sandwich were great! But the Vadapav stole the show! Favourite meal on our 2025 annual trip to Jasper.
The Sunhouse Cafe is a delightful restaurant located on the second floor, offering a unique dining experience. The cafe boasts a beautifully designed interior with an open kitchen and a dome-shaped, glass ceiling that allows natural light to flood the space, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The menu features a variety of delicious options, including the visually stunning falafel bowl and chia pudding, as well as the must-try Persian eggs and French toast. The French toast, in particular, is a delight, with the strawberries and mascarpone melting in your mouth and the cashews adding a nice crunch.
Customers have praised the cafe's excellent service and the fantastic staff, who have been described as "genuinely loving life." The second-floor patio is also noted as one of the best views in town.
While the coffee may be just okay, the overall ambiance and presentation of the food make the Sunhouse Cafe a worthy destination. Despite its slightly hidden location and limited parking, the taste and vibrant presentation of the dishes make it a great place to visit, whether for breakfast, brunch, or a casual coffee.
