Just move to Ponoka and ordered take out. The food was fantastic and great service. The building is a little sketchy because it is under construction but it's worth going.
Always such a great meal from here.
Nice to have a local place in Ponoka that isn’s about the frill, they are about having decent food. If it isn’t up to your standard, you should probably go to Edmonton and pay double.

Haven’t been at this restaurant for about 2 years. There’s been renovations and can’t dine in. This used to be one of my favourite places. After a 2 year hiatus the owners still remembered my go to favourites. I was surprised. The food here is delicious and the service is excellent. Neither of those factors can be improved on. The fact that it’s only takeout is the drawback, it’s really too bad for the restaurant that the owner of the building is so slow with the renovations,
The China Palace Restaurant in Ponoka offers delicious and generously portioned Chinese cuisine, despite the building's current state of disrepair. The service is excellent, and the food, including the popular ginger beef, is consistently praised for its great taste. While the restaurant is currently limited to takeout due to ongoing renovations, it remains a local favorite with the potential to shine when the nearby Stampede event arrives.
