Nice to have a local place in Ponoka that isn’s about the frill, they are about having decent food. If it isn’t up to your standard, you should probably go to Edmonton and pay double.

“We stopped at Golden Harbour on a road trip. The restaurant was clean and inviting. The menu selection was more than adequate offering the usual combo plates and chinese fare. Our food was overall pretty good. The cop suey and beef and broccoli was fresh, tasty and enjoyable. Definitely a strong 4/5. Thanks Golden Harbor.“

“Honestly I think the food can get more love if they actually put the effort into it. Don't get me wrong , the rice is tasty but most of the time it's either too dry, hard, or plain. The ribs are sometimes perfect depending what time you order .. and the gravy with fries was so salty at first but I've noticed it's been actually pretty good. The cheeseburgers are a bit over cooked and the bacon as well. The wontons are ok. The egg rolls are ok besides the extra crunch. I have concerns over the fish and chips but overall the food is decent , decent price, decent environment, and decent cooks. 4/10“
