“Popped in for a vanilla latte, and biscuits and gravy. The biscuits and gravy were piping hot, generously smothered in peppery sausage gravy that made me want to lick the plate. I’m sure I was less than lady-like as I wolfed down the food in about a minute and a half because it was so good. This little gem is now one of my favourite plates to eat in Haines.”

“My daughter and I went to this establishment during a cruise stop in Haines, AK. We were told by someone that the facility used to be a brothel so my daughter (age 29) and I thought it would be a hoot to have a drink there. Two big thumbs up for the waitress who served our drinks and engaged us in a little conversation and the bartender.”
“We were among the many cruise ship visitors in town and decided to have a cold beer in the Fogcutter Bar. The atmosphere is great and the staff friendly, We noticed that they were putting up Mardi Gras decorations in August so had to ask about this interesting tradition. They have this themed celebrations on Labour Day as it marks the end of the summer season.”

“I love the old field kitchen. I frequent here often for brunch, as well as dinner. This is the highest end, most diverse and fresh cuisine you can find in Haines, but would be impressive no matter where you are. The prices are very fair and the setting is artistic, rustic, and very aesthetic. They have local pours, and friendly service.”
