“Nina, the owner was kind enough to set up a special tea party for me and my out of town guest. Her shop has a large selection of loose leaf teas and it was busy in there but she was patient and helped us find something we liked, even offering us a sample of their house tea. The tea sandwiches were flavorful and delicate. The doughnuts were so good!!! There’s so much to see in this little shop and plenty of delicious treats. I will be back!“

“Everyone was so friendly and the service was very good! Our coffee cups and water cups were filled constantly, and the food came out very quickly, even with a smaller cooking staff from what I saw, I applaud their hard work! The food was decently priced. Do keep in mind that they only accept cash or check, but they have an ATM on-site.“

“Birch & Alder where have you been my whole life?! Tucked away roadside coffee shop, the burrata sandwich on focaccia is nothing short of a culinary success. The creamy burrata, crispy prosciutto (wow) perfect! Layers of fresh brightness, but the zhoug sauce (double wow)! When I say it’s a 10 out of 10, I really mean it’s an 11 an absolute must try for anyone chasing the ultimate sandwich experience. Nothing but smiles:)“

“Everything!!! My first visit there was earlier this week with two friends. I ordered the Goat Cheese and Beet Salad. It was out-of-this-world. The encrusted Goat Cheese was extraordinary. It was warm with a delicious crispy outside and a warm soft goat cheese inside. There were 3 on the salad and I could only eat one. I brought the other 2 home, warmed them up in my toaster oven and again they were amazing even the next day. The salad was huge. I also brought half of it home. The Basil Balsamic dressing was perfect and the candied pecans were huge and amazing too. The whole salad was wonderful with the combination of the other ingredients. It came with a yummy warm homemade biscuit. I also ordered their Tomato Basil Soup and it was the best I have ever had and it is a favorite of mine and I have ordered it at many other restaurants. It too came with a biscuit. For dessert I ordered the Chocolate Thunder Cake which I took home. I have had it in small slices, warmed up, with vanilla ice cream and I still have lots of slices to go. It totally melts in your mouth. I am a dark chocolate lover and it was the best. I am going to Sis’s Cafe again tomorrow with another friend!! Silver“

“I just love this place. There are very few places that I regularly visit but this is probably the only place where I was remembered as a customer. My main barista is also awesome. She creates coffee flavors that are fantastic for my taste and I also enjoy my lotus smoothies.“

“amazing smoothie flavors for my sweet boba cravings! they have such a good variety of goodies and drinks though its top notch..my favorite is getting a blended blueberry, pineapple coconut boba smoothie with the MUSABI'S ♡ they make fresh daily..definitely my fave spot on jewel lake but on top of all of the perks of this place my absolute favorite one is their employee SEAN!!!! This ones for you Sean. You are so so sweet and personable, your customer service is immaculate. “Absolutely love this place. The girls are always amazing. They so friendly and always ask where my dogs are when I don’t bring them. They always make our drinks perfectly and my husband has a complicated drink and they nail it every time. I can’t recommend this place enough. I always ask for a surprise lotus and I have never had one I don’t love. Thanks for always putting a smile on my face and making me feel welcomed.“

“First time visiting. Sandwich menu was explained and I chose the Jive Turkey. I also got a sugar free iced drink. The sandwich was excellent from the first bite to the last. The iced drink was also excellent. Did I mention the excellent service? I will definitely be going back… thank you for the great experience!“

“Our office always orders their breakfast burritos for our work meetings. Because their burritos are so huge we get their mini burritos. I don't know whether that's even an option but because we order from them often that's why we're given that option. The owners are awesome people as well. “Fresh Cup Playhouse is perfect for families that have little kids that need to burn off energy and play with other kids around their age. The layout is really nice and the play area was very clean. They also have a great food and drink menu.“

“Went to the Yeti Dogs food truck that came to the festival. Amazing food and service! I only wish the guy running the festival (no affiliation with Yeti Dogs) had been nicer. We had to get there 30 minutes early, and our Lyft driver pulled into the mostly empty parking lot only for us to get barked at by a stranger that we couldn’t park there (as we were taking our luggage out of the car). Later when we asked if we could order early he replied in a pretty rude manner when he could have just said that the city permit didn’t allow them too.“

“Not sure why Google has this spelled wrong but it's KODIAK KUP. The girls here are always super friendly and make not only a great cup of hot coffee but their blended drinks, fraps, Red Bull, Lotus, everything is yummy! I like the bagels and breakfast burritos in the morning but sometimes at lunch I'll get a ham n cheese croissant with chips and drink lunch special, or after work I'll grab a cookie, muffin, or pretzel with cheese! Definitely my favorite coffee shop in Anchorage!“
