“Birch & Alder where have you been my whole life?! Tucked away roadside coffee shop, the burrata sandwich on focaccia is nothing short of a culinary success. The creamy burrata, crispy prosciutto (wow) perfect! Layers of fresh brightness, but the zhoug sauce (double wow)! When I say it’s a 10 out of 10, I really mean it’s an 11 an absolute must try for anyone chasing the ultimate sandwich experience. Nothing but smiles:)“

“Amazing food and very friendly staff. Usually do breakfast but decided to try lunch today. I got the chicken bacon Swiss sandwich (special for the day) chicken was hot and fries were so unique! My friend got an of the menu item (it was slow enough the kitchen didn’t mind) and homemade beef and barley soup too! Everything was absolutely amazing! Will be returning again soon!“

“Nina, the owner was kind enough to set up a special tea party for me and my out of town guest. Her shop has a large selection of loose leaf teas and it was busy in there but she was patient and helped us find something we liked, even offering us a sample of their house tea. The tea sandwiches were flavorful and delicate. The doughnuts were so good!!! There’s so much to see in this little shop and plenty of delicious treats. I will be back!“

“OMG…. Thank you! The staff is always pleasant, and I haven’t had them forget even a spoon. EVERYTHING that I’ve tried is SO GOOD! Like mindblowing! And nothing is ever skimped on!! I tried the gumbo today, and I didn’t know what to expect- but I usually have to add salt to stuff…. But the seasonings… OUT OF THIS WORLD! And the cornbread…OMG…. I also got a tuna melt too… there were the perfect amount of veggies and it wasn’t just a boring tuna sandwich!! everything is so good. I had to say thanks!“

“amazing smoothie flavors for my sweet boba cravings! they have such a good variety of goodies and drinks though its top notch..my favorite is getting a blended blueberry, pineapple coconut boba smoothie with the MUSABI'S ♡ they make fresh daily..definitely my fave spot on jewel lake but on top of all of the perks of this place my absolute favorite one is their employee SEAN!!!! This ones for you Sean. You are so so sweet and personable, your customer service is immaculate. “Took my little one in for the first time, a few issues I had was the gal that took our order was not super friendly or welcoming. She seemed upset, not sure if that is just her personality but it did not leave a good taste for an atmosphere that is meant to be kid friendly..Secondly, parents need to watch there kids. I don’t know how and if staff can enforce that since they are not employed to babysit so may not be aware but there were older kids literally rough housing and flinging each other by the arms. Bathroom smelled pretty bad because diapers are not being disposed of properly. I would recommend fresh cup not advertise that if parents need a mental break they can just go here to dump their kids and let them go off and play unsupervised and unborthered because there ad is insinuating that. I would still recommend this play place because they have good coffee, reasonable pricing, good play equipment, and we need more indoor play houses in Alaska!“

“Not just the best coffee shop/but in Anchorage but some of the best coffee and chai anywhere in America. Have lived in many states and huge cities and almost nothing compares.I still don’t know what they do with the chai latte. You can buy the same powder and milk and magic bullet but I cannot replicate how good it is.“

“First time visiting. Sandwich menu was explained and I chose the Jive Turkey. I also got a sugar free iced drink. The sandwich was excellent from the first bite to the last. The iced drink was also excellent. Did I mention the excellent service? I will definitely be going back… thank you for the great experience!“

“Not sure why Google has this spelled wrong but it's KODIAK KUP. The girls here are always super friendly and make not only a great cup of hot coffee but their blended drinks, fraps, Red Bull, Lotus, everything is yummy! I like the bagels and breakfast burritos in the morning but sometimes at lunch I'll get a ham n cheese croissant with chips and drink lunch special, or after work I'll grab a cookie, muffin, or pretzel with cheese! Definitely my favorite coffee shop in Anchorage!“
