“Found this place because it was close to our hotel and what a find! Fresh baked scones are masterful! Coffee excellent. Reindeer breakfast burritos great. A lighter sausage than pork, well spiced, harissa on the side.

“Cup on the Run is my favorite coffee hut in Anchorage! The baristas are so nice and their service is usually quick, they’re affordable, and the drinks are always excellent! Their seasonal menu always has something delicious on it. If you’re looking for recommendations, they always make a great blueberry white mocha and raspberry-hibiscus red lotus!“

“Nina, the owner was kind enough to set up a special tea party for me and my out of town guest. Her shop has a large selection of loose leaf teas and it was busy in there but she was patient and helped us find something we liked, even offering us a sample of their house tea. The tea sandwiches were flavorful and delicate. The doughnuts were so good!!! There’s so much to see in this little shop and plenty of delicious treats. I will be back!“

“This is my all time favorite coffee shop, everything is great. Except your hours, the consistency’s not there. You guys will be closed at the most random times, I drove to get coffee just now and you guys are closed at 11:30AM. “Birch & Alder where have you been my whole life?! Tucked away roadside coffee shop, the burrata sandwich on focaccia is nothing short of a culinary success. The creamy burrata, crispy prosciutto (wow) perfect! Layers of fresh brightness, but the zhoug sauce (double wow)! When I say it’s a 10 out of 10, I really mean it’s an 11 an absolute must try for anyone chasing the ultimate sandwich experience. Nothing but smiles:)“

“A great place for a quick bite. Basically a glorified coffee shop, but the staff were kind and efficient. We went on a weekend and the service was quick and excellent. Prices were very reasonable and the food and drinks came quick. Sandwiches were fresh and tasted amazing. Coffee and tea were excellent. As a hot coco lover I was happy to get a large hot chocolate.
Vegetarian options: Mostly muffins and bagles, but plenty of non meat options.
Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, easy and good options.“

The staff was super friendly and gave us some great recommendations for places to eat. They literally have everything, including a coffee shop, convenience store and even late night pizza. “Not just the best coffee shop/but in Anchorage but some of the best coffee and chai anywhere in America. Have lived in many states and huge cities and almost nothing compares.I still don’t know what they do with the chai latte. You can buy the same powder and milk and magic bullet but I cannot replicate how good it is.“

“I don't drink coffee, but my friend and I travel together a lot and we spend almost every morning of our trips searching for a coffee place. And then she almost always ends up dumping the coffee out because she doesn't like it. We happened upon heavenly cup and miraculously the coffee met her high standards to the point that we went back the next morning! And the coffee girls were both really nice each morning.“

“A great little spot with coffee, food, and wine and beer (and cider, my personal fave)— just my kind of atmosphere! Plus, I can sit outside too with my pup, still under cover from the building. And did I mention that there is You Beauty salon in the back? I absolutely adore that I can swing through and take a beverage with me to my hair appointment— makes it all even sweeter!“

“I just love this place. There are very few places that I regularly visit but this is probably the only place where I was remembered as a customer. My main barista is also awesome. She creates coffee flavors that are fantastic for my taste and I also enjoy my lotus smoothies.“

“Everything!!! My first visit there was earlier this week with two friends. I ordered the Goat Cheese and Beet Salad. It was out-of-this-world. The encrusted Goat Cheese was extraordinary. It was warm with a delicious crispy outside and a warm soft goat cheese inside. There were 3 on the salad and I could only eat one. I brought the other 2 home, warmed them up in my toaster oven and again they were amazing even the next day. The salad was huge. I also brought half of it home. The Basil Balsamic dressing was perfect and the candied pecans were huge and amazing too. The whole salad was wonderful with the combination of the other ingredients. It came with a yummy warm homemade biscuit. I also ordered their Tomato Basil Soup and it was the best I have ever had and it is a favorite of mine and I have ordered it at many other restaurants. It too came with a biscuit. For dessert I ordered the Chocolate Thunder Cake which I took home. I have had it in small slices, warmed up, with vanilla ice cream and I still have lots of slices to go. It totally melts in your mouth. I am a dark chocolate lover and it was the best. I am going to Sis’s Cafe again tomorrow with another friend!! Silver“
