“It's exactly as it sounds... It's a dive bar. They have karaoke, cocktails, and beer. What I found most enticing about this place was how friendly the people and patrons were at this bar. I wasn't sure what to expect, but we ended up having a great time. If you're looking for that dive bar atmosphere, with that karaoke vibe, filled with friendly people, then I recommend Van's dive bar for sure.“
“We like to stop in for a couple drinks. Only when in town. If your not a regular. You will probably not be treated very well. Almost invisible sometimes. We somewhat know the owner. There's a couple girls that work there that are amazing. Hope you ended up there when there working. Uselly late on the weekends .“
“Outoftowners finding non-tourist bars. Saturday night at 7pm (hey it gets pitch black dark at 430 in late Fall) the bar looks dead, like not even open, from the main street, but apparently they like using the back door around here, the rear parking lot is a decent size. The vodka and Cranberry is mostly vodka, which isn't a bad thing, and most of the beers on tap are of the local brews. So far we are digging the vibe, and over hearing stories from locals is quite entertaining. More to follow.“
“Great dive bar. The drinks were reasonably priced, and they had mules. The bartender was more than happy to make an on the fly drink. There was also free unlimited delicious pop corn. There is also a log book of questionable pictures of past patrons that is available should you want some entertainment.“
“it's a comfortable, down to earth, hole in the wall, bar. Most everyone knows each other there, and it is full of memories for me personally, and full of history for everyone, ask the regulars, someone there has a story to tell...for the cost of a beer, perhaps.“
“This bar has a very welcoming atmosphere with awesome bartenders and friendly patrons. I wish there were more pool tables but there are plenty of other games to play:) I love that there's a smoking section plus vending machines with cigarettes and snacks ? would recommend 10/10“
“Happened to ride the carousel on FREE TACO Tuesday with a friend. 15 patrons @ 6p. Really friendly regulars. Three pool tables, full surround bar, 8 large TVs and main Big screen center room with a small performance area in front of it (I'll reserve it at some point in the future). Pull Tabs available. Awesome prices for air fryer snacks and munchies (for AK prices). Outside open patio and fire pit seating for smokers.“
“For decades Long Branch burgers have been the best in Anchorage. But, today I found out they've made some changes. Supposedly now using fresh, Alaska grown potatoes for the fries; they look burned and I didn't care for them. Also, their famous buns seem to have changed. The burger itself was still tasty, but I liked the old way better.Parking: Plenty of free, off street parking in their lot. There are ramps for wheelchair access.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp in the front of the restaurant“
“Very chill group of locals that come here and enjoy a conversation without loud music you dont have to shout to the person next to you. Very chill place to drink and have a full conversation with the person next to you. The locals are friendly and I would come back all the time. The owners are friendly, the bartenders are friendly. The whole scene is friendly. They make you feel you fit right in with them.“
“Had a great time chatting with the bartender Danny, Cubs fan, in Anchorage! Being a Cubs fan myself, it was a nice surprise. The ciders were tasty, along with the never-ending fresh popcorn. Nothing fancy by any means, but the feel was friendly, drinks reasonably priced and we were treated quite well. It was a random stop during our overnight stay in Anchorage.“
“It's an excellent bar atmosphere that offers pool and even $3 shots. I had an Apple Pie shot with my beer and the flavors blend. The bouncers are good at recognizing drunk behavior and do their job on point. It's an excellent trade if you don't like downtown Anchorage.“
