I like this place. I lived in Fairbanks a long time and used to work here often. Since I last visited they got rid of the electrical outlets - so while they have wifi you can work off of, you can't charge your devices to do anything. I used to sit and drink multiple coffees and have lunch while I was here but can't do that anymore. Still good coffee and food but I feel much less welcome.

AK Coffee Roasters is a great local spot for quality coffee, fresh pastries, and wood-fired bites. The atmosphere is warm and pretty relaxing, perfect for studying, catching up with friends, or a quick stop through the drive-thru, if it’s open. The coffee is consistently good, and the food menu offers a good variety.

Tried their afagato coffee, shepherd's pie mocha, and peanut chocolate cupcake.
Afagato is a lot for one person, It's best to bring a friend to share with. The peanut on cupcake was heavy and dense.
I like their coffee, but the food is a little overpriced for a quick bite.

The wait is long, the coffee is good, the sitting atmosphere is good. They pulled all the electrical outlets so students can’t go plug in and work. I hesitate to give it a 4 star, but there’s definitely room for improvement. The customer service is ok
