The Pub - UAF Pubs • $
1731 S Chandalar Drive, Fairbanks

“Always a great place to go after work or class. Easy to meet up with friends and it's always had the unique atmosphere of being in the core of campus. The tasting events are always fun and very affordable. Also one of the only places with air conditioning in the summer!“

Black Spruce Brewing Company Brewery • $$
3290 Peger Rd ste b, Fairbanks

“Definitely quieter than the other breweries. Wife especially loved it due to all the ciders and sours on tap. Had two of their beers, an IPA and a stout. The stout definitely was something I’d go back for. Not much out of the ordinary and some snacks sold on site. Wasn’t a problem as we had dinner before coming in. Plenty of seating and friendly bartender.“

Black Spruce Fruit Project Brewery •
3290 Peger Rd, Fairbanks

“Black Spruce Brewing Company is a local brewery that has an outdoor, partially covered dog friendly area with a fire pit and a large indoor tasting room. My husband, our little girl and I came by here on a Monday around 5:30 pm. My husband ended up ordering:Aroma Dome, IPA, 16 oz, $7- I don't really like IPAs and so I wasn't a fan of this beer but my husband liked it (which really matters since he picked it for himself). Service was quick and friendly. Restrooms (individual) were clean upon our visit. I liked the space that this brewery had over another brewery that we had visited right before and would prefer coming here again if I lived in the area.“

The International Hotel and Bar Lounges • $$
122 N Turner St, Fairbanks

“A great basic dive bar. Drinks are cheap (well drinks are $4.50), service is fast and no frills, and they have ramen and frozen mini-pizzas if you're looking for food. Pool tables, big screen TVs showing sports, a nice warm environment for hanging out and relaxing. Plenty of free parking, although no electricity outlets if you need an engine heater. There is an outdoor stage I parked next to, so I assume they have some awesome concerts certain parts of the year. Maybe that's the International part of the name. You should know something: This establishment is cash only. No credit or debit cards (or Apple/Google Pay allowed). So use the ATM inside the bar, or get cash before you show up here.“
