“Gold Creek Salmon Bake exceeded all expectations. It was one of the best parts of our Alaska vacation.“
“So you’re telling me there is an ale house in the woods? How does everyone not know about this you say? Because it’s the coolest thing you’ve ever run into. Yes the beers are $10 billion each, but did I mention it’s a ale house in the middle of the woods? All kidding aside it’s a really cool place. Definitely check out. The trails up here are phenomenal. You take the gold belt tram to get up to the – well worth your time even if you’re just in for a cruise ship visit.“

“Never had a bad experience here whether it was tourist season or winter. Great options for breakfast and brunch foods, and a good dinner at decent pricing compared to other places downtown. The staff has always been pleasant and not overbearing, even if it’s a slow morning. Brunch mimosas are generous for the price! It can get pretty busy at times (usually dinner), but the atmosphere is very sports bar-like and fun.“
“We had a great. It’s a smooth ride and you’re able to see amazing views.“

“My order of fried rice was pretty burnt, and the food was super pricy, but I'm an out of towner so I don't have a strong frame of reference, I know things can be even pricier from shipping down here. I'm a sucker for atmosphere though, and I'd say the place provided. It's decently quiet, maybe three other groups there with a very nice view of the mountains, I got to listen to three Christian discuss paganism amongst eachother, and the wait staff felt like they were just normal people working normal jobs. It's a positive impression from myself.“

“The Timberline Bar and Grill is located on Mount Roberts in Juneau. One rides the Goldbelt Tram up to the restaurant. They offer American food, and a full bar, as well as Seafood and are Vegetarian and kid-friendly. The views are of the Gastineau Channel in front and mountain waterfalls in back, from the outside patio. There is a lovely gift shop and clean restrooms.
This is a seasonal restaurant, closing at the end of October and reopening in April. Hours are subject to change due to weather conditions, but in the summer, they are usually open from 8-9. During the season, the restaurant offers live music and is available for private events.
One orders from the printed menu at the counter and pays before eating. Table service sets and condiments re self-serve. The food is then brought to your table.
We enjoyed our chili bread bowls. Both the chili and the bread-bowl were tasty; the chili was hot but not too spicy, and the bread-bowl was fresh. We felt that the portion size was a bit small.
I would recommend this place. The tram ride up was fun, and the restaurant was charming. It is accessible from the tram or one may hike up and ride down. Season Passes are available.
The tram base location is at the main cruise dock on Franklin St., and tickets may be purchased there.“

“Food was great. Service impeccable. Cocktails delicious. Goat cheese with fig is enough for 4 people. The filet was tender and the wine a great match. But I went for my 50th birthday and somehow that information didn’t make it to the staff. I was not acknowledged at all nor did they even ask if we were celebrating anything special. Given the low attendance and high cost of the food I would have expected better. But a minor miscue on an otherwise exceptional meal. Alas, no reason to go back to Juneau but still worth the trip if you’re there and looking for an alternative to the standard fare in town.“

“Great place, good and fast service. It is quiet busy specially during the high season. The decoration is lovely and it has amazing views. I tried the Halibut burger and the fish was delicious. I didn't find it expensing considering it was Halibut and it was really well cooked.“
