“Just go! I was apprehensive to dine here after seeing other reviews express concern for visitors/tourists. I went around five on a Wednesday and was warmly welcomed by the staff. Kept to myself of course! There are beautiful views and fantastic food. I couldn’t finish the salmon dip but highly recommend!

“Have you reached your breaking point with restaurants with too many choices? Do your eyes get tired reading through pages and pages of food options? Do you want simple? Then you have found your home at Pel'meni. You get no menu, 2 options, and at least 1 lb of tiny dumplings. Open late, delicious, no frills. Everything good comfort food should be.“

“Ate here yesterday. The Iced Teas were perfect, best I had in 20 years! Learned that it's a relative of ginger and pretty good for you as well. The salad that came on the side with my rice noodles/tail-on shrimp/pork was so fresh and the rest of the dish was light and refreshing, crispy spring roll too. Fresh cilantro and other herbs! My wife got the pork combo rice platter and loved it! She loved the "perfectly cooked" fried egg, "savory but not too oily." Definitely our new favorite in Juneau!“

“Food was great. Service impeccable. Cocktails delicious. Goat cheese with fig is enough for 4 people. The filet was tender and the wine a great match. But I went for my 50th birthday and somehow that information didn’t make it to the staff. I was not acknowledged at all nor did they even ask if we were celebrating anything special. Given the low attendance and high cost of the food I would have expected better. But a minor miscue on an otherwise exceptional meal. Alas, no reason to go back to Juneau but still worth the trip if you’re there and looking for an alternative to the standard fare in town.“

“A very nice, clean and quaint restaurant. The Young man that took my order was very pleasant and made me feel at home . As a visitor, that was very important for me as was returning home to Houston Texas. My pizza order was awesome, hot and flavorful. I would recommend this outlet to anyone interested.“

“Spice is the only place in Juneau with authentic Indian dishes. The atmosphere is always pleasant, food is excellent, and they periodically bring in new dishes (aloo matar is my favorite when it’s available, so good). Staff are always nice, service is consistent. I can truthfully say they’ve never disappointed me, and in Juneau that’s very difficult to come by.“
