“I always have such a spectacular time bringing my group of friends and family over! If I’m celebrating a reunion, anniversary, or birthdays your crew never disappoint! I’m a local myself, the different platter of food and drinks are extremely flavorful compared to what I’m used to! 🥰🥂”

“Alaska Fish House wears its intentions plainly, and that’s part of the charm. This is a place built around locally caught Alaska seafood. There is a burger and a simple spring mix salad on standby, but if seafood isn’t your goal, you’re probably better off elsewhere. If it is, you’re in very good hands.
The fish was impeccably fresh and cooked just right. The batter, light with a noticeable panko crunch, struck that rare balance of crisp without overwhelming the fish. Fries came seasoned in their house blend that leans Cajun or Seafood Magic, and the slaw tilted toward a Carolina-style bite rather than creamy heaviness. The fish tacos were solid, though the rice was well past tender into mushy territory. The chowder, however, was a standout: rich, herbaceous, comforting, and exactly what you want if you visit on a chilly day in October.
Set right on the water, the space is open and easygoing, with outdoor seating that shines on a nice day and even a private room for group dining that looks straight into the open kitchen. It’s a counter-service setup, so things move quickly and without fuss. The staff was friendly and genuinely engaging, happy to guide you through the menu without rushing you through the experience.
Alaska Fish House doesn’t try to be everything to everyone. If fresh fish is what you’re chasing in Ketchikan, this one’s a reliable, satisfying stop.”
“We had an amazing experience here enjoying the local brews! The brew master made a point to talk with us about the beers...it was evident that he puts his heart & soul into his craft! This was one one our very favorite experiences in Alaska! Highly recommend!”

“Cool little burger shack on Tongass Ave. Came to town for work, and was itching for a burger. It was closest to the airport. Burger and fries were absolutely phenomenal, and the staff were nice! Order at the window and they bring it out to your car. Honestly one of the best burgers I've had in all of Alaska. If I come back to Ketch, I will be a repeat. You should too. Keep your standards high AJ's. It's an unexpected treat!”
“Nice Local bar and liquor store at the edge of the dock. We stopped for a couple of drinks and found the service great, drinks cold and the people fun and talkative. Give it a try. Drinks about $5.50 each”
“Amazing place! They even offer kid friendly flights and my daughter was in heaven. Great place for us because they have beer, cider, and wine! Truly something for everyone.”

“The Eagles Nest sits tucked behind Cape Fox Lodge, perched high above Ketchikan’s iconic Creek Street. Getting there is part adventure, part lesson. We took the tram up and walked down the wooden staircase trail after the meal, which turned out to be the better half of the experience. The tram itself was disorganized from the wait times to the less-than-helpful attendant, so if you’re able, skip it altogether and walk up.
Finding the restaurant can feel oddly unintuitive. There’s no direct entrance from inside the lodge and approaching from the front leaves you wondering if you’ve made a wrong turn. The trick is heading around the side of the building. Once inside, any confusion evaporates instantly.
The interior hits with surprise and confidence, an urban chic space that feels more city loft than mountain lodge. Step outside and the restaurant doubles down, offering sweeping views over downtown and Creek Street that easily steal a few moments of silence before the first sip or bite. Or if you spot whales breaching, as we did upon seating.
Thankfully, the food matches the buildup. The Neapolitan-style pizzas are the clear stars, with beautifully blistered leopard-spotted crusts and a gentle smokiness from the wood-fired oven. Freshness shows everywhere, especially in the tomato sauce, which tastes bright and alive rather than cooked down into submission. From the appetizers to the pizzas to the cocktails, everything felt thoughtful and well executed.
Eagles Nest is the kind of place that rewards curiosity. Once you find it, you realize you’ve stumbled onto something special. A true hidden gem in Ketchikan, and absolutely worth going out of your way to visit.”
“Absolutely great place for dinner! Excellent service, excellent food, the building is very cool and there are amazing views. A bit spendy but the food is excellent! Definitely recommend a reservation.”

“Cool little bar with great pizza. Stopped in a few times & had the same bartender each time. Last time there 3/12/2022 and it will be my last time. The bartender has no business being in customer service. She was my employee, well, she wouldn't be my employee. Enough said”

“A Hidden Gem in Ketchikan, Alaska
Fresh off a cruise ship in Ketchikan, Alaska, I discovered a delightful Chinese restaurant that was the highlight of my trip. This small, family-run spot offers a warm, friendly atmosphere and food that’s cooked with love.
Each dish, from savory stir-fries to flavorful soups, was delicious and authentic, reflecting the chefs’ dedication and skill. Seeing the family eat the same meals they serve was a reassuring sign of quality. We ordered the chow mein noodles with just noodles and meat for the kids, and it was all devoured! The chicken wings are also a must, we loved the Thai soup as well! If we're ever here again, I will stop by!
This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking a comforting, home-cooked meal. The combination of delicious food and genuine hospitality made my experience truly memorable.
Kid-friendliness: My kids were super loud and the restaurant staff didn't mind at all. They made sure we had everything to make my kids comfortable, offered straws, plates, forks, etc.”

“Literally 30 feet from my hotel room on the 2nd floor so ate here frequently. Overall great atmosphere for a local bar feeling. Staff was mostly great, best was 'Cyra' (sp?). Some of the food was fantastic, including the hummus and chicken wings. But the chowder, and the Greek wrap were bland. Three nights in a row didn't have the rubber, which is a bit weird to advertise something you don't have.”
