This is a hole in the wall that I am glad I found.The halibut was delicious! It was a great portion, fried to perfection and fresh. The onion rings were the best I have ever had. I loved the chowder with the corn and carrots in it. If you are cruising through be sure to walk up to the Safeway with the beautiful water view and you will find good food in the parking lot. Loved eating outside on the picnic table. The employees were super nice.
Alava’s fish and chips is a must try! Miles was really kind and checked on us multiple times to ensure we enjoyed the food. Great local business. Highly recommend!If you’re coming from a cruise, take the free shuttle from the cruise terminals into town and there is a stop close to Alava’s.

I love my Alavas...absolutely wonderful food. Best Halibut in town. Hand made batter and slaw from family recipes. The owners run it and do the whole nine. They're so nice and treat you like a regular every time. Give it a try for sure if you're in town!
