“Place is great! Service was good paced! Got the vanilla chai blended and by far the best one I've had yet! The smoke salmon spread on the spinach and chedder bagel will make a grown man cry! Fantastic!! Im gunna try making it myself! Highly highly recommend this place! Kind of hard to find, it's tucked way back behind some other shops, just follow the signs. Only downside is that they charge for cups of water, but if you buy something they will through the water in for "free" or if you just want water it's $2 for a 24oz.”

“We have gone to a few places in town while we have been here. We keep coming back to the Nugget because it is consistently good. The service is very good also. The Coast Guard Wrap is my husband’s favorite. Prime Rib night was awesome. Just good food at a good price.”

“The best meal I’ve ever eaten. The flavors were perfectly balanced but each flavor stood on its own in every dish. The king salmon was worthy of out loud exclamation! I love fine dining, and now this will be the measuring stick Of all other fine dining experiences. I also love the laid back atmosphere. The service was excellent.”
“I tried a bowl of the Salmon Bisque and had to order a second one for my husband to keep him from eating all of mine it was so delicious. It was creamy and rich with lots of salmon chunks, mushroom and leeks. For dessert I had a chewy peanut butter cookie and my husband had the chocolate gelato. Best food ever you could tell they were made with quality ingredients. I highly recommend the Salmon Wagon.”

“Great place to stay. The rooms are spacious and the staff is gracious. Clean and comfortable. Town of Sitka is in walking distance. Great views of fisherman, boats and kayaks on back deck. There is a bar and restaurant that serves dinner.”

“Ernie's Old Time Saloon is a classic local bar with great vibes!
We stopped in while in Sitka, and it was the perfect spot to soak up some local charm. Of course, we had to try a Duck Fart—it’s a must while visiting! The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, making it a fun place to relax and enjoy a drink.
If you’re looking for a no-frills, authentic bar experience in Sitka, Ernie’s is definitely worth a stop!”

“Sitka , Ak prices higher than franchise stores in lower 48... higher cost of getting goods to an island. Service varies depending on who is behind counter... some make a significantly poorer quality sandwich.. skimping on primary ”

“Stopped in the evening while in Sitka on NCL’s Jewel. What a great little spot. The staff is lovely. My snickerdoodle was yummy. I had a white chocolate peppermint mocha and my bf had a cup of coffee and a brownie. We were both very pleased. Loved this little town!”

“A true authentic local bar hiding from the tourist! Thanks to one of the park rangers that we met on our explorations and having good conversation recommended coming here as we didn't want to follow the herd. And so glad we did. The history and the photos on the walls of this place says a lot of the people and fishermen of this town. And the bartender who will be unnamed...?? She is the favorite bartender by all and I can definitely see why! Loved her feistiness!! If you can manage to step out of your norm and enjoy the true people of this town, stop!”

“A once in a lifetime experience. Not a five star restaurant at all but would most certainly go back again. The food alone makes it worthwhile. No menu, just whatever he caught that morning is what you get. We had yellow eye and halibut. And samples of cod. There are no sides, just fish on a kebab stick. No plates, no utensils. There are a total of five chairs in the place, and one very knowledgeable fisherman that gave is a history lesson of Sitka. $20 per serving.”
