The Fresh Fish Reviews
Was looking for quick, tasty seafood lunch on my port visit - one of the locals said to come here, it’s where the locals eat. He wasn’t wrong. Also, the food is amazing! We had poke bowls, tuna and salmon, zero complaints. Good portion size, served fast and friendly. If you don’t want to fight the cruise crowds at the downtown strip restaurants walk a couple minutes away from the chaos and grab some food here.
Delicious! But don’t wait, they have limited supplies each day.
The rockfish po boy was amazing.

The Fresh Fish is a local favorite, known for its delicious, fresh seafood. It is located a short walk from the visitors center, in a food truck park slightly further away from where most tourists stop. Many highlight the fantastic chowder, calling it possibly the best they have had. The poke bowls, black cod dishes, fish tacos, halibut ceviche, and ceviche are also frequently praised as wonderful and absolutely delicious. While the fish flight meal was noted as slightly overcooked and rubbery by one reviewer, the overall experience remains highly enjoyable. There can be a bit of a line, but it is worth the wait. Customers can sit inside the bar next door or at the covered beer garden, sometimes with live music. It is considered a must-go and a great stop in Sitka, with many stating they would go again in a heartbeat.
