Excellent food. Best Cuban I've had in a long time!
The best bowl you’ll ever have. Period. Chipotle, Moe’s, Qdoba…not even close, and I’ve eaten them all hundreds of times (not an exaggeration).
I got the rice and steak bowl, no sauce because I want to taste the ingredients, and it couldn’t have been more flavorful. Perfect seasoning and balance, tender steak strips, and a substantial serving size…which is good because it’s not cheap. But it IS worth it. If you’re visiting or if you live here, try it.

Juan's Cuban Cuisine is a must-stop for anyone in Sitka, with the best bowl you’ll ever have—Chipotle, Moe’s, and Qdoba are not even close. The rice and steak bowl is flavorful with perfect seasoning, tender steak strips, and a substantial serving size that is worth the price. The pernil is juicy and flavorful, the churassco is amazing, and the yuca fries are made to perfection, with sauces that are a chef's kiss. Not a single thing on the menu is bad, and the Cuban sandwich with yummy yucca fries and sweet churros is a highlight. The Cuban coffee is a must when available. The staff is friendly, bright, and kind, always happy to give suggestions, and Juan himself is a cool badass chef. The service is excellent, and the food is always delicious and authentic. Getting Cuban food all the way in Alaska is insane, and it’s a must-go experience you will not regret. Highly recommended to everyone and anyone, with no disappointment at this stop.
