About Sea Daddy

Sea Daddy offers excellent fish on a stick, with yellow eye rock fish and halibut being standout options. The fish is light, fresh, and crispy, cooked in a light, flavorful batter. The decor and atmosphere reflect authentic Alaska, though the physical structure is still a work in progress. The owner, Scotty, is as authentic as they come, serving whatever he caught that morning—like King Salmon, Spot Prawns, Ling Cod, and Rockfish. There are no sides, just fish on a kebab stick, with homemade tartar sauce and a slice of lemon. The place feels like an uncurated mini museum, with only five chairs and no plates or utensils. The reviews highlight that it’s a must-do in Sitka, offering a fun, unique experience with a friendly, knowledgeable owner. The fish is freshly caught and fried to perfection, making it stand out even more. Despite being cash only and a bit pricey, the food’s quality and the authentic atmosphere make it well worth a visit for those seeking a non-touristy, memorable meal.

Delicious fresh fish on a stick and a lovely museum like experience with the decor. Highly recommend!
This place is off the beaten path and takes a while to walk to, but it's well worth it if you want fresh Alaskan caught fish. We had the yellow eye and the halibut. The fish is fried on a skewer served with homemade tartar sauce. If you're in Sika, I would definitely recommend taking a walk to Sea Daddy's.
I had crab, pasta, and some salmon at my time in Sitka, but Scott's fish was the best thing I had there by far! I loved the atmosphere and decor at Sea Daddy and will definitely be coming back if I'm in Sitka again. And Scott is a great guy! Super friendly and informative.
