“We took a small group for lunch thanks to a recommendation. The food was fabulous! Everything was really fresh. I love their dark salsa and my pork carnitas were very tender. They offer corn tortillas, which is not what a lot of places do. Our server was very kind and thorough, making sure she understood everything we were ordering. The portions are huge but everyone cleaned their plates. I will definitely go back. If you like Mexican, you'll enjoy this place.“
“This is my favorite restaurant. Visited last night for our anniversary, but have been many times. Service is always excellent, food is amazing, bartenders are on point. When we arrived there was a short wait for a table. So, we headed out to the patio, and grabbed a couple of cocktails from the outside window, a dirty mel'tini, and a brown butter old fashioned, amazing. And cocktails are even better when served by quite possibly the friendliest bartender around. Plenty of heaters, and tables available, it was a cold night. Nice string lights, a great place for pre-meal conversation. Once seated we started with a dozen raw oysters, 6 Bayou La Batre, 6 Murder Point. They were fresh, cold and delicious. Then we had our usuals, chicken francese, and beef carpaccio, both excellent, as always. Ended dinner with the vanilla creme brûlée. I almost forgot, the bread that comes to your table is so good, has just enough rosemary, it's warm, soft, and delectable. We will be back again, and probably very soon.“
“We stopped by on a night where 3 of the employees called off. We appreciated the up up front warning.This location is interesting due to the set up. We arrived in a building with just tables, it was pretty subdued. We ended up noticing that the actual kitchen, bar and outside seating was out the back door and across the parking lot. We decided to eat outside. The outside seating was nice and had heaters.Service was not prompt, but we had been warned, yet both employees working were friendly and were working hard. Thank you!The Wedge salad was completely covered in a Green Goddess dressing and with the crispy chunks of bacon it was so good. I had the LakeView pizza and it did not disappoint. I think next time I will ask for extra horseradish cream because it was tasty. My husband ordered the Old School and ate all but one slice, he was in heaven.Cocktails- my husband ordered a drink and was happy to find they carried Hendricks.Overall the set up is odd, but the food was delicious. “The food, service, and drinks here were amazing. Our server Amy was very outgoing and an excellent waitress. Everyone that we interacted with was pleasant and cheerful. The atmosphere is laid back and relaxed. The drinks from the bar were well done, delicious, and prompt. The food was very good as well. No to go boxes for us. We ate every bite!“
“I had never had mead before until I came here, and it is really good! They have a great specialty crafted selection of different flavors to try, so there is something for everyone. I love the atmosphere, and the building is beautiful. It's definitely family and pet friendly, and the staff is personable. My family goes here often now, and what I've come to love about Ivy League is that they are more than just a place to get a good drink, they are almost like a community center in a way. They host various classes all week long where you can learn a variety of things like ASL, how to make sushi, painting, or cheese making, and they have trivia and karaoke regularly for fun. You can even play pool, some board or arcade games, and they have a beautiful outdoor space. Ivy League is definitely a fantastic place to go if you're looking for an atmosphere with good vibes.“
