Bartenders were nice but the drinks are very small. I don’t like having to pay average prices for a tiny cup. The music & sound system was excellent! Security had great presence throughout. The later it gets, the younger the crowd gets. I love the pool & beautiful led lights thru out. Spacious.“

“Very cool place, oldies style, good decoration, you have tu pull the chain for a drink and call by phone to enter the bar, great drinks. You can order food downstairs and bring it upstairs. The hamburger had a very smoky and good taste. Good service, friendly and the restroom is also cool decorated. If you want to try a different experience you need to go there.“

“The Bottomless Brunch was delicious. I went back 3 times for the shrimp and grits. The atmosphere was nice. The DJ gave good vibes with great R&B classics with a hint of hip-hop added in. Nice and clean bathrooms. It felt really comfortable.“

“We just had the best breakfast EVER! It started with the excellent service from the greeting we received when we walked in the door to our fabulous waitress Brianna. It’s getting harder and harder to find good service but this place excels in this area. On top of the service the food is delicious. We had the French Toast stuffed with peaches which was Amazing and the Hot Chicken and French Toast Bites - FABULOUS!!! We highly recommend this restaurant. We will be repeat customers for sure!!!!“

“Update 5/10/24: Things have changed quite a bit since my initial review. Parkside is very different and better in most ways. Better cocktails, better arrangement & seating on their excellent patio, better service, friendlier bartender.. The only thing not markedly better is the food. The old Hotbox was great too, until near the end. Very nice job, new owner.

Good bartenders, good drinks, decent beer selection. Sometimes they have something special on tap too.

Parking: Park where you can and walk through Avondale. It's a lively neighborhood.“

“We visited this renovated food hall on our way out of Birmingham. The space itself is really cool and features some great food options. I had the poke and a bubble tea, which were both delicious. There is seating inside the hall and in the attractive patio space outside. Fun spot for a quick lunch!“

“If you like Chipotle, Little Donkey makes Chipotle look like McDonalds. The place was packed on a Tuesday night. Good selection of food items. Careful though, anything you want with steak will cost about $8 more than any other meats available.“

“The service, quality and taste of the food, and ambiance make it easy to give this restaurant a 5 star rating! I attended a birthday dinner at this restaurant. Everything was sooooo good, I returned for brunch with my family the next day.

For the birthday dinner, there were over 50 people in our party and the servers did an amazing job at providing quality service the entire night. Most restaurants would take a long time to serve a large party like ours, but SOCIAL had our food and drink orders out to us very quickly. Everything was hot and tasty as it was freshly made. Our drinks were soooo good and not watered down at all!

A thing gentleman named JT was our server. He checked in on us throughout the night to ensure we were enjoying our food and the experience. I don’t live in Birmingham, but I will be making this restaurant a mandatory stop each time I return.

The crust is to die for and perfect - like a croissant (but not sweet). I had a slice of cheese, but will be back to try them all. They were cooked to perfection, juicy, and flavorful. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, making it an ideal spot for an informal business meeting or just a fun evening out. The trivia night added an extra layer of enjoyment, making the visit both engaging and entertaining. I highly recommend Carrigan's Public House for its great food, especially the burgers, and its vibrant atmosphere.“

Our server was very friendly and attentive, the food was hot and made as we ordered.We also enjoyed the music.Parking is scarce in front of the building, but there is nearby parking on the street as well as the park across the street. “I was in town for a wedding this weekend and stayed at The Kelly. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are very spacious for being in a historic building. The price was fantastic for such a nice hotel in a good location. The staff is unbelievably friendly and welcoming. I didn't get the names of the front desk workers but they were absolutely terrific! The valets are some of the best I've ever encountered. Eric, Tory and Thomas went out of their way to be helpful every single time. One evening I accidentally left a bag in the car and Thomas volunteered to go all the way back to the parking garage to get it for me. From now on, when I am in Birmingham I won't be staying anywhere else but The Kelly. I suggest you do too!“

The sunset view was gorgeous, the servers (specifically Pickles, I sadly didn’t get anyone else’s names but they were all great) were precious and so nice, the pizza was delicious, the drinks, the hospitality… I could go on and on!
