while the service and attention from the waiter was great, I can't say the same about the food. what was supposed to be a spicy burrito was nothing more then a tasteless tortilla with almost not meat insides. The salsa tasted like ketchup and I could tell most of the ingredients came from a can instead of being freshly cooked. Won't come back and will not recommend it to anyone that wants REAL mexican food.
Maya is my go-to spot for Mexican food. They are fast & always provide great service, but this week they went above and beyond. When my server noticed I was trying to eat and feed my baby a bottle at the same time, he told me to eat, grabbed the bottle, and fed the baby for me. I’ve never had such a kind gesture happen from a server before. They go above and beyond for their patrons!
I’m way behind in offering a recommendation for the fabled Maya - Alabaster. Between there and the Homewood location, my Mexican food cravings are more than covered and they are always patient with my substitutions and the like. Service is top-notch and the food is excellent. Highly recommended!
