“Based on a recommendation from our hotel clerk, and TA reviews, we gave this a whirl. We almost thought at first that it had closed, but as we drove across the really beat up plaza parking lot, we soon spotted it tucked away in the back corner. I think the lady said they had been there 25 years. All that matters is that the service was friendly enough, and the price was reasonable enough, and the food was above expectation and filling enough!“
“Ordered two regular pulled pork sandwiches & banana pudding $18.67.$6.99 is on the pricy side for a pulled pork sandwich in my opinion so it should stand out in order to be worth paying that price...IT WAS !!!The sandwiches were HUGE and not drowned in sauce and had a heavy smoked flavor, well worth the price!The only thing missing, for me at least, was the lack of pickles when i had asked for extra pickles when ordering BUT the sandwich made up for that.I can't say the same for the $2.99 banana pudding, it was roughly 2 tablespoons worth in one of the 'sauce cup' size styrofoam containers, just enough in there to get a taste of pudding and make you upset that there isn't more... not even enough to get the BBQ taste out of your mouth.Disappointed to say the least.At least I know where I can get a good pulled pork sandwich when I'm in AlexCity, it's definitely not at the other two BBQ places in town“
“Love the hospitality and service was great. The sides were just ok...like maybe a 3. The worst item they served was their cornbread and french fries! The cornbreadwas gross, thick and wet like...mushy like almost a cake texture but not. Not cornbread, not cake, but some horrible place in between. I promptly spat it out, did not swallow. What they did with the ingredients to make that mess is a crime. The fries were old, greasy and cold. Which maybe a one off because of how busy they were. However, when I spend over $60 for food I expect quality. Other than that....I would recommend.“
“Love this place! It has some of the best barbecue I've ever had with lots of options for sides to choose from. They are pretty quick with bringing out orders, and they do pick up as week. They are very friendly and welcoming. It has a nostalgic vibe with the decor and seating but in the best way!“
“This is the best Bar B Que I’ve tasted in a long time. The Sandwiches are delicious. The Bar B Que Nachos is my go to favorite. The portion is enough that you it can eat it for lunch and have enough left over for Dinner. The Employees are very friendly. Try it, you won’t leave hungry or disappointed.“
