“Top of the River could very well be the best catfish in the state of Alabama. I have been all over the state from Florence to Mobile and Top of the river stands alone when it comes to catfish. Everything on the menu it's delicious and the steak is one of a kind. I'd give it 8 Stars if I could.“

Cindy always greets you at the door with a smile and a hello. all of the staff is very friendly, knowledgeable of the nenu and do a great job. ere food is delicious Their food is fresh and made to order, I have never had to wait long for my food. Their mixed drinks are always well made, and half off. it is definitely worth going you will not be disappointed.“

“Do yourself a favor. It was a rough winter, you deserve it. Put the taste of the south in your mouth at Brad's BBQ. As a truck driver I've had lunch all over the country, and in 48 states you can not do better than this. Succulent ribs, delectable smoked pork, and the best sides going. You will be glad you took this advice if you have never been. If you have already been, go back. What you waiting for.“

“I've been going to the same location since I was about 5 years old. Regardless of when I go it's a fantastic experience every single time. They always seem to have great staff along with fantastic food that's just right on point and hits the spot. Highly recommend down your way up towards Oxford or if you just passing through the area in general.“

“As a child I grew up going to a Western Sizzlin in Carrollton, GA. Sadly, it closed when I was in high school and I just assumed that they went out of business as a whole. Fast Forward to 2/28/26, my friends and I were on our way back to Georgia from Birmingham when we seen this gem! We stopped in, a little worried that it wouldn't be the same as we remembered, but it was and actually exceeded what we remembered. The hostess was very friendly and got us seated quickly. Our waitress, Tammy, did an outstanding job making sure that our drinks stayed full and plates cleared. The food was better than any other currently operating buffet that I know of. Everything was cooked to perfection. Anyone, who is looking for a buffet with country style cooking will not be disappointed. I strongly recommend this place and my friends and I really enjoyed the opportunity to take a trip down memory lane by dining here. I would give it 10 stars if possible, and I will definitely be returning.“

“I have to brag on the gentleman that worked as a manager last night. I had a horrible headache. I got upset that I was having to wait on my food more than I thought I should. It’s probably the headache getting the better of me, but this gentleman came out with a big smile on his face and was so sweet And even walked my food out to me because he knew I had a headache thank you so much. I highly recommend the new management staff and Cracker Barrel in Oxford.“

“Went very late tonight for a takeout order, just a burger nothing fancy. My app wasnt working so I called. A lovely young man named Matthew answered in the most polite voice asking what Id like. Even at midnight this crew was cleaning and smiling and laughing with a few customers and I was asked not once or twice, but 3 times if I needed anything or would like something while waiting.As unimpressed as I am with much pricier restaurants that dont have half the personality and very happy professional attitudes toward each customer and each other.
Or me at least ! Loved Matthew and the whole staff I saw! He made certain everything was perfect !“

“5 stars across the board. This was my favorite restaurant a few years ago but sadly, that changed for a while and food quality took a noise dive.
I'm happy to say that I took a chance today (3/24/26) and returned for lunch. WOW!!! The Effinas I knew and loved is back and just as delicious as ever!
In addition, the service was a high 5 Star thanks to Amanda who was incredible!
Overall I have ZERO complaints and tons of praise. I'm pleased to put Effinas in Anniston back on my list of go-to places for delicious food and top notch service. Thank you so much!!!“
