“I stopped here here looking for chicken soup. They don't have that particular soup on the menu. I tried another soup similar to chicken soup, only it had shrimp, broccoli, and mushroom. It was not the flavor I was looking for. I would not shy away from ordering here again, I'm sure other menu items would be good, I was just in search of a traditional oriental soup with lo main noodle this trip.”

“Great place for all things southern fried. I love the drive. It’s 30 minutes from Dothan, out in the middle of nowhere, and gives the family time to hangout without being so far away the kids start asking are we there yet. Great service. Just small so be prepared to wait on a busy night.”

We’ve already called friends that will be coming back thru Dothan in a few days and told them where to stop for great food. “When you take your pregnant wife to dinner at Chick-fil-A, everything has to be perfect…
So naturally, I messed up and ordered grilled nuggets instead of fried.

I jumped up in a panic, but before I could even explain myself, Vaune appeared like a customer-service superhero. She just smiled and said, “Not a problem,” and seconds later brought me the fried nuggets I should’ve ordered.

When we finished eating, she literally intercepted me halfway to the trash can with a cheerful, “I’ll take that for you.”
And while I took my daughter to the play area, she spent time talking to my pregnant wife, who was having a rough day, and genuinely lifted her spirits.

Vaune made the whole night.

“It's is a day old bakery. If you have no aversion to this, which I don't. There is a great opportunity to stock up on bakery items for a small fraction of what you would pay at the grocery. Freeze them until you need them. I have vacuum sealed a couple loaves of bread instead of freezing and it's worked pretty good for arresting the aging process”

“It's a one-stop-shop. The food is literally southern homestyle. It's located inside what looks like a red barn. There's a pharmacy (order with pharmacy) located inside the same space. There's a connecting internal & an exterior entrance to a feed/hardware store. Great daily specials & regular menu items. Close-knit community, everyone's very friendly. Fast service, good prices & portions.”

“Tonight we had our only bad experience ever at Marcos on East Main Street in Dothan, AL. Our pizza was not made correctly and we did not know until we got home. We have to drive 30 miles round trip to pickup pizza. One of our guests began to eat the wrong pizza we brought home. My husband called Marcos and explained the situation. We were told they are new employees and new manager. We were also told to bring the pizza back to let them see it. My husband took a picture of the pizza and it is obvious it was not the pizza we ordered. We expected to be told they would make it up to us on our next trip. We were not. This is the first time we’ve been disappointed since the store opened. Customer service should be better when they make a pizza incorrectly. Otherwise I would recommend this Marco’s.”
