“Cute small town shop. Has potential. The one-time jukebox is gone. Nicely decorated but missing that 50s vibe a little. Maybe a little 50s 60s musicNo Menu or Prices except on the Combo Board. Typical is averaged around $10-$12 for sandwiches, Fries, and Drinks... not bad except for hot dogs... should be around $8.Prices are a bit high... but this is Bidenomic times. Loaded Fries were $7.50Overall.. a Sound, 3½to4 star Average Small Town Shop.“

“On your last stop in Alabama on your way to Florida down AL Hwy 53, make sure you make a stop at the Burger Barn in the small county town of Cottonwood. Cottonwood is about 10 miles southeast of Dothan. The Burger Barn shares the same building as the Cottonwood Drug Store. The store itself is remodeled and looks like its name...a big red barn! The Burger Barn has of course, a burger, other sandwiches, a daily special, and Blue Bell ice cream. I went with the cheeseburger combo that comes with a side and drink. It was a total of $8.10 with the tax included. That is equivalent to what you would pay for a fast food burger these days but there was a major difference between The Burger Barn and a fast food joint. The burger was made from fresh hamburger meat, cooked to order, and was just a good ole-fashion cheeseburger. Everything else came on the side. There were packets of Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce so I made mine a BBQ burger (imagine that from me! haha) I chose potato salad as my side. It was also home-made, with a more mustard taste than mayo, with relish and egg mixed in, and chilled. If you love a home-made potato salad, you will love it! Other side choices include baked beans and fries, which they seem to have everyday. With the daily specials, they have other sides that change daily. My sweet tea was refreshingly sweet! I wish I had time for the ice cream. They offer ice cream by the scoop, shakes made from real Blue Bell ice cream, (any place that makes shakes from Blue Bell ice cream receives an extra star in my book), blizzards, and floats. New, remodeled, clean with fresh food and ice cream, if you are looking for lunch in the Cottonwood area, stop by the Burger Barn. The only downside is The Burger Barn is only open for lunch during the weekdays.“

“Worst service ever. We arrived about 45 mins before closing, I didn't know they closed at 9pm on a week night, anyways...the gal working said she would have to cook the chicken tenders, which I already knew because it's the only thing my daughter orders there also ordered extra fries, and 2 double bacon cheeseburgers, there were no customers in the joint but us. Got home with no fries and a single cheeseburger, all that gal had in here mind was closing that store at 9?“
