“UPDATE 2/18/24: I've been to Umami at least 20 times since my first review, and have never had a meal I consider less than excellent. The sushi is creative and tasty, the ramen is very good and service is consistently fast and friendly. I've had lots of dishes and the food does not disappoint. The cocktails are very good too. One of our favorite restaurants, and I'm so happy they're open in Trussville too. Enthusiastically recommend! ?????Very tasty sushi. Eclectic menu; we really liked everything we tasted. “I ordered through DD and ordered the beef Singapore noodles with no bean sprouts. They did as asked and they threw in chicken and shrimp in it ?. It tastes absolutely amazing and have been craving it for so long but other places I have tried it didn't taste as close to the 1 place I use to order from when I lived in Colorado and it is a huge portion. Thank you guys for making my night with this. Absolutely amazing.“

“Jennifer was our waitress. She was so pleasant and great service. Mary gave us Eclipse Glasses to wear as we ate 2 bites and ran back and forth to see the eclipse progress. I was a grandmother with 2 grandkids with me. They were so generous - providing us w eclipse glasses over and over. They ARE the reason we all 3 were able to see the Eclipse 2024. “I was pleasantly surprised with my first visit to Asian Kitchen. It''s fast and no frills. The food is displayed on a hot bar format and you go through a line. All the food looked fresh! I really enjoyed my honey chicken and salt and pepper chicken. The fried rice could have been better. Service was decent. They definitely get you in and out so it's not personable at all. There is a drive thru available but I went inside. The inside is clean and there is dine in seating available. I am looking forward to trying more of their menu soon!“
“We tried their ramen here for lunch and both of our ramens were so good! Our waitress was attentive. The food came out quickly as well as the check at the end. The ramen was $15 per soup and it was well worth it. We might be back for dinner :“

“Always friendly and food is delicious. We don’t like spicy and my kids order N2 w/chicken and an order with beef and I love B8 w/shrimp. It is always wonderful and don’t have to worry about msg or too much sodium. Only dislike the A4 spring rolls are too chewy /soggy rice paper or I would buy them all the time. “The atmosphere was great, the dumplings appetizers were delicious. The main course was a disappointment to say the least. The whole fish was fried good, but no seasoning at all, the sides that come with it is a -0 for me. WHY, serve this beautiful whole fish with a huge wedge of RAW cabbage, plain big wedges of tomatoes, plain thick slices of cucumbers, cooked white plain rice, and a tomatoe chutney which was very tasty. The sides served with this $27 dish is not a compliment to the entrée at all. The dumplings saved the day!!“
