I visited the Auntie Anne’s at the Galleria in Birmingham. The pretzels themselves tasted good and were fresh, which was a plus.
However, there were several cleanliness and food-handling concerns that stood out. Dough was left out ready to be prepared, which in itself isn’t a major issue, but it was leaning directly against the glass separating the work area from customers. Auntie Anne's offers a 10/10 sweet experience with kind workers and a chance to see how pretzels are made. The sweet almond pretzels are a hit, especially with caramel sauce or sweet glaze. Despite being extremely busy, the staff, including General Manager Jessica, were doing a wonderful job. Some customers were surprised to find out that the glaze for the mini cinnamon pretzels had to be purchased separately.
