This place is drive-through only so service is pretty quick. I got an Original Box Combo with a sweet tea and ranch. Our food was ready very quickly. The Texas Toast was pretty plain, I got the butt of the loaf so maybe that’s why. I don’t really eat slaw so I don’t know what that tastes like. The chicken was good and the sauce was nice. French fries were nice and crispy, had a good flavor to them. The sweet tea was pretty good, very sweet but what I was hoping for. The chicken fingers are pretty small but the whole meal is filling.

The chicken is tender and juicy and the sauce, it is worth a 30 minute drive. Great value and taste. I have been a customer for 20 years and will continue!

If you buy the five finger for 12.99 meal you get toast and slaw and a drink but if you buy the three finger you get no slaw no toast and you only get one sauce so literally it makes no sense to get a three finger meal at this restaurant.

All of the workers were super kind and friendly and the service was quick and accurate (even when we had a large group order)! They waited patiently for us to figure out the order and even reviewed the order before having it finalized. Would definitely recommend! Not to mention the food was delicious and fresh!

I strongly advise against eating at the Guthrie’s location in Homewood. Their health score has continued to decline (98 to 89), and after firsthand experience, that trend is not surprising.

There are serious food safety and sanitation issues throughout the restaurant. There has been visible black mold under the drink machine, and the dishwashing area is improperly set up, resulting in dishes not being washed and sanitized according to basic health standards. This alone is a major red flag.

Food handling practices are equally concerning. Bread (toast and buns) is stored next to the bathroom door, creating an obvious contamination risk. Cabbage used for coleslaw is not washed before being cut, and the lettuce used on sandwiches is also not properly washed. These are fundamental food safety violations that are routinely ignored.

Management is a large part of the problem. They are disorganized, poorly trained, and consistently cut corners, including reducing portion sizes to save money at the expense of customers. Employees who attempt to follow proper procedures are discouraged, while unsafe practices are overlooked and fired.

This is not a one-off issue or a bad day, it’s a pattern of negligence. Customers deserve better transparency, sanitation, and accountability than what is being offered at this location.

Was happy trying this place for the first time my boyfriend found hair in his food we didn’t bother taking it back luckily he just threw the food away the hair was on and ate the rest kinda ruined the whole mood.
