I like this Green Acres better than the other locations, the only problem I have is the wait time. When you order food any time after 2p.m. you are guaranteed to wait at least an hour. And if you like fried green tomatoes, you had better make sure they have them before you order, because they run out of them fast. (But they are sooooo good.)
I had no idea that this green acres (the original) was not affiliated at all with the other three Green Acres franchises around Birmingham. This one came about almost 30 years before the others (but don't quote me on the math). The menu is similar, but the fries are fresh cut potato shoestring fries. I agree that they could have been cooked a little more but they were still very good. You can get the wings in order of 4, 6, 8, 10, and then larger orders. I opted for six wings...read full review

There are many restaurants named Green Acres in the Birmingham area and they ALL fail to compare to the ORIGINAL.. The food is just better here. Gives you the feel of a cookout type vibe with the music going & drink flowing...
